Newcastle United last away game of the season stats are a shocker

On Sunday, Newcastle United have their last away game of the season.

This season it is also the very final match of the campaign.

Down the years, Newcastle haven’t been the best travellers generally, but when it comes to a last away game the stats are horrendous.

This is the 27th season of the Premier League era.

In the three of those first 26 seasons that were spent in the Championship, Newcastle won their final away game in all three seasons.

As for the 23 seasons spent in the Premier League, it is laughably bad.

The stats read: Played 23 Won 1 Drawn 9 Lost 13

The only time Newcastle have won their final Premier League game of the season was when winning 2-1 at QPR in 2012/13. Rangers were already relegated and those three points meant at last Newcastle were safe from relegation.

Can it be a momentous second ever final away game win of the season at Fulham?
