Saturday brings reports that Newcastle United have made an approach for a striker dubbed the ‘New Robin van Persie’, over in France.
Remi Oudin has scored 12 times for Reims this season, including 10 goals in Ligue 1.
A prolific scorer for the Reims reserve set-up with 30 goals in 36 starts in recent seasons, Remi Oudin became more of a regular last season in the first team, scoring seven goals in 18 starts as the French side won the second tier by a massive 15 points.
Turning 22 in November (2018), the striker has played in 34 of the 35 Ligue 1 games so far, starting 30 of them.
L’Equipe report that a lost of Serie A and Premier League clubs have been scouting the striker and that Newcastle, Watford and Fiorentina are the three to so far make a formal approach to Reims.
French clubs are also said to be interested in a striker that L’Equipe say Reims are ready to cash in on the 6ft 1 tall Oudin.
The forward having helped establish themselves in the French top tier after promotion, Reims currently ninth in Ligue 1 with three games to go.
Reims are looking for the bidding to start at £10m for the homegrown 22 year old, according to the French newspaper.
