Really enjoyed Newcastle United stadium tour for my birthday but where’s Kevin Keegan?

You have probably covered this before but…

Don’t know how many of you have done the tour of our ancestral home?

I had my tour earlier this month for my birthday and really enjoyed it.

However, I have to say that I am totally disgusted that there are no pictures anywhere of King Kev.

Regardless of the falling out of Ashley and Kevin Keegan over the court issues, surely he cannot be removed from the history of Newcastle United????

Also very little mention of a certain Alan Shearer…. and only one small picture.

I had a fantastic day for my birthday (my 60th) but this upset me.

I have been a toon supporter my whole life (my first game attended in 1969) and can’t get over these omissions.

I just recently read the KK book which is brilliant.

It reminded me of things like being at St James Park in the Gallowgate end when he scored that goal vs QPR…

As well as all the other great games he played for us, followed later by that incredible spell as manager, peaking with the 1996 ‘So Close’ team.

Memories!

(Lifelong suffering toon supporter and season ticket holder from time to time until Ashley era!)
