London Magpie Group present The Outcast – ‘Mags fall prey to Palace and Lee Charnley…’
The 7th podcast from the London Magpie Group, ‘The Outcast’ is now available for regular listening across the online tooniverse.
The group has teamed up with allies at AshleyOut.com and members of other groups to help give fans a United voice in their pursuit of holding Mike Ashley to account.
The most recent podcast follows defeat against Crystal Palace and discusses many of the issues of the week.
Jay and Andrew tackle the quotes regarding Rafa Benitez contract from the man ‘waiting on an answer’, himself and discuss what it would be like to be Lee Charnley answering what they ‘would do if you were Lee Charnley.’
The Outcast would like to encourage listeners to leave their views via voicemail to contribute. This can be done by simply:
A) Downloading the anchor podcast app
B) favouriting the podcast
C) Selecting the record voicemail function to respond to any of the points raised in the pod.
The podcast also want NUFC fans and listeners to subscribe and continue to send their letters via twitter and email.
In upcoming podcasts heading into the season the fans involved with London Magpie Group and AshleyOut.com aim to discuss the feasibility of things like fan ownership, increasing the role of fans at the club through developing initiatives such as the NUST and the role protest can adopt in complementing these approaches. These casts will continue throughout the rest of the season and into the Summer.
The London Magpie Group had recently planned activity this week involving a protest at the High Court at the Royal Courts of Justice, though this was postponed. Sports Direct representatives were reportedly due in court on April 12 but High Court sources explained that the representation would not be in attendance.
The group plan to continue seeking opportunities to challenge Ashley and his interests in capital and believe the podcasts can be an enjoyable and effective method of sharing their message and encouraging engagement and debate.
