Lisbon based journalist Marcus Alves has revealed which clubs were represented by scouts at the match.

As well as Manchester United, Arsenal, Inter Milan, Leicester City, Tottenham and Bayern Munich, Newcastle United were also represented.

Benfica’s exciting 19 year old striker/attacking midfielder Joao Felix scored a hat-trick, whilst Ruben Dias got the other goal for the home side.

Rumours claiming that the Newcastle United hierarchy see the German league as one offering better value these days.

Newcastle have been linked with Sebastien Haller this season, the striker having scored 14 goals in 23 Bundesliga starts.
