Warning of Metro problems for Newcastle v Everton today

Metro services are set to be disrupted today for Newcastle v Everton.

Fans travelling to the match should allow for this when gauging what time to start their journey to St James Park.

This is due to ongoing work to modernise/improve the Metro services.

Nexus have released the following information:

‘Newcastle fans heading in for the Everton game are reminded there are on Metros running between Wallsend and Monkseaton due to bridge and overhead line modernisation work.

A frequent replacement bus, 900, is running in the affected area.

Fans heading to the game from this area are advised to allow some extra time to get into Newcastle for the 3pm kick off.

Anyone travelling from the coast can link up with Metro services at Wallsend to travel to St James or from Monkseaton to head in via Four Lane Ends.’

Fans can get all the information they need here: https://www.nexus.org.uk/metro/modernisation or by calling Nexus on 0191 20 20 747.
