Premier League form table ahead of Bournemouth v Newcastle United well worth a look
The Premier League form table ahead of Newcastle United taking on Bournemouth.
As you can see, only five PL clubs with better recent form than Rafa’s team.
Newcastle having beaten Everton, Burnley and Huddersfield, plus got a point at Wolves, whilst beaten at both Spurs and West Ham
In contrast, only the Premier League’s bottom two have worse recent form than Bournemouth. Four defeats, a draw and last weekend’s win at Huddersfield.
It is three months now since Newcastle got their last away victory, also at Huddersfield. However, the away performances haven’t been that bad. Dubravka’s error losing a late point at Tottenham, the referee preventing a win at Wolves when not disallowing the late equaliser, as well as a draw which should have been a win at Watford and a narrow 2-1 defeat at Chelsea.
Last time at West Ham, it was two poor bits of defending that gifted the game, rather than it being a terrible overall performance.
Against a Bournemouth side not in great form and having conceded 54 goals, maybe Newcastle could just possibly find their third away win of the season.
Here is the Premier League form table which covers the past six matches for all teams:
Bournemouth’s last six results with latest one listed first:
Huddersfield 0 Bournemouth 2
Bournemouth 0 Man City 1
Arsenal 5 Bournemouth 1
Bournemouth 1 Wolves 1
Liverpool 3 Bournemouth 0
Cardiff 2 Bournemouth 0
Newcastle’s last six results also listed with the latest result first:
Newcastle 3 Everton 2
West Ham 2 Newcastle 0
Newcastle 2 Huddersfield 0
Wolves 1 Newcastle 1
Tottenham 1 Newcastle 0
