Newcastle fans hoping for Watford win to prevent possible 6 weeks without a home match

Watford take on Crystal Palace in the FA Cup today.

The two clubs playing for a place in the semi-finals with a 12.15pm kick-off.

Newcastle fans will be cheering on the Hornets, or at least they should be.

If Palace win, Newcastle United could find themselves with a massive six weeks between home games.

Rafa’s team are due to host Crystal Palace on Saturday 6 April but that is semi-final weekend, which would mean the Premier League match cancelled if Palace progress today.

That would leave a six week gap on home matches at St James Park between Everton last Saturday (9 March) and Southampton at home on Saturday 20 April. With a midweek date needing to be found for the NUFC v Crystal Palace game.

Hopefully it doesn’t come to that and we will have that 3pm home kick-off on 6 April.

The only other game that could still be moved is the final home game v Liverpool.

Currently Saturday 5 May at 3pm, that could be moved for TV, with an announcement for live matches on that weekend due on 5 April.

Still a chance of the away game at Fulham on the final day of the season (Sunday 12 May) being shown on TV but even if it was, the time/day wouldn’t change as all PL games are played at same time in last round of fixtures.

The complete Newcastle United PL schedule as it currently stands:

Saturday 16 March

Bournemouth v Newcastle (3pm)

Monday 1 April (Sky Sports)

Arsenal v Newcastle (8pm)

Saturday 6 AprilĀ

Newcastle v Crystal Palace (3pm)

Friday 12 April (Sky Sports)

Leicester v Newcastle (8pm)

Saturday 20 April (BT Sport)

Newcastle v Southampton (5.30pm)

Saturday 27 April (BT Sport)

Brighton v Newcastle (5.30pm)

Saturday 4 May

Newcastle v Liverpool (3pm)

Sunday 12 May

Fulham v Newcastle (3pm)
