I can’t stop laughing at this Jordan Pickford photo after Newcastle 3 Everton 2

If Jordan Pickford is the best goalkeeper England have got, they are not looking hard enough.

He did his very best to get Newcastle United back into the game and despite the referee’s efforts, he succeeded.

With Everton one up and cruising, Jordan Pickford fumbled an easy cross and then  rugby tackled Salomon Rondon to the ground.

As everybody waited for him to be sent off, Lee Mason instead appeared to forget all about the cards. A shocking decision and te fact it stayed at 0-1 was down to Ritchie’s terrible penalty rather than the keeper’s save. Giving Jordan Pickford credit for it would have been like giving a post credit if he’d hit the woodwork, so bad was the penalty.

His handling and distribution was abysmal all game and then after Rondon had volleyed past him to bring it back to Newcastle 1 Everton 2, a long distance shot from Almiron was straight at Jordan Pickford.

The former Sunderland keeper simply blocking it straight to Perez in front of the goal and he couldn’t miss.

Then on the third goal Pickford failed to take control of his box.
