Fabian Schar has been outstanding for Newcastle United this season.

Of the 35 points Newcastle have picked up so far, 31 of them have been in the 18 matches where Fabian Schar has been involved. Only four points from the other 13 games.

As well as these match statistics, Schar has also scored three Premier League goals and got one assist.

When Fabian Schar plays for Newcastle in the Premier League:

Played 18 Won 9 Drawn 4 Lost 5 Goals For 22 Goals Against 18

When Fabian Schar isn’t involved:

Played 13 Won 0 Drawn 4 Lost 9 Goals For 9 Goals Against 22

In the middle of a two game ban for Newcastle after picking up 10 yellows, Fabian Schar got a full 90 minutes for Switzerland on Saturday afternoon as they played away against Georgia.

The Swiss international was apparently knocked out in a collision, Schar knocking heads with Georgia’s Jemal Tabidze in first half.

The Newcastle defender lying unconscious on his back, whilst players from both sides rushed to his aid.

After a significant delay, both players were able to continue after medical treatment.

Fabian Schar yet again showed his quality in terms of creativity.

Both second half goal came after superb passes from the NUFC player.

His brilliant long ball picked out Embolo and whilst he did his best to mess it up, eventually laid it back to Zuber who provided a very good finish.

The second goal saw Fabian Scar striding forward into the opposition half before his slide rule pass put a striker one on one with the keeper. His shot was blocked but Zakaria slotted home the rebound.
