All 20 Premier League clubs ranked by results this season against Top 10 clubs – Not great for Newcastle
No surprise to see the Premier League top six clubs dominating the top positions.
Manchester City picking up 35 points (15 games) and then Liverpool 30 (15 games), a big drop then to Spurs (15 games) and Arsenal (15 games) both with 22 points against top 10 clubs.
Chelsea and Man Utd are seventh and eighth best with 16 points (both from 13 games each) in fixtures against the top 10.
Credit to Wolves (14 games) with 19 points and Bournemouth (18 games) picking up 17 points for breaking up the top six clubs.
How all 20 Premier League clubs have performed in matches against top 10 clubs this season, table compiled by Sky Sports:
As you can see at the opposite end of the spectrum, Huddersfield (14) with seven points and Fulham (16) with three points are at the very bottom.
More surprising though is Everton third bottom, only seven points from 15 games against top 10 clubs.
Newcastle are only one place higher though with the fourth worst points total against top 10 clubs, only eight points from 17 games.
Conversely, that means that Rafa’s players have picked up a massive 26 points from only 13 games against clubs in the bottom half of the table, an average of two points per games, compared to less than half a point on average from those games vs top 10 clubs.
