Alan Shearer perfect reaction to stunning Newcastle 3 Everton 2 comeback

Alan Shearer perfectly summed up this game.

The Newcastle legend declaring ‘What a comeback’ as NUFC came back from two down to score three goals in 19 second half minutes to win the game.

If ever there was a game of two halves…

In the opening 45 minutes Newcastle could do nothing right and after the break it was Everton’s turn.

It still needed Newcastle United’s input obviously and they didn’t let us down.

All you ask of your team in these circumstances is that they don’t let you down and once the team got going, the fans were right behind them.

Alan Shearer loving it: ‘I haven’t heard St James Park like that for a while.’

How on earth Jordan Pickford wasn’t sent off when bringing down Rondon, for a penalty which Ritchie saw saved by the former Sunderland keeper at 0-1.

Everton going straight up the other end and making it 2-0.

Alan Shearer reacting to Newcastle 3 Everton 2:

“A terrible decision [Pickford not sent off for penalty incident] and not the only one.

“I haven’t heard St James Park like that for a while.

“What a comeback.

“They all were brilliant in the 2nd half.

“Unfortunately not [on Match of The Day tonight]!!

“I’m on tomorrow [Sunday] night instead.”
