Premier League form table ahead of West Ham v Newcastle is looking pretty fine
The Premier League form table ahead of Newcastle United taking on West Ham.
As you can see, Rafa’s team have well and truly joined the ‘big six’, at least temporarily.
Only Man City, Arsenal and Man Utd have better form over the past six weeks.
Newcastle United having only the one defeat, that late goal at Wembley responsible.
Other than that, it is four wins (all at home), along with the draw at Wolves.
As for West Ham, they have only the one victory in these past six weeks/matches and sit 16th in the Premier League form table.
Their only win came against Fulham, the cottagers actually taking the early lead away from home, only for an outrageous piece of cheating by Hernandez as he used his arm to guide in the equaliser, unseen by the referee. This led to a typical defensive collapse by Fulham as they gifted a 3-1 home victory.
After losing away to Bournemouth and Wolves, the last four games isn’t too bad.
Credible draws away at Palace and home to Liverpool, the win over Fulham, then last night’s narrow defeat at Man City. Although whilst it was only 1-0, Man City absolutely battered them and missed a lot of chances.
Looking a little further ahead, Newcastle’s next two opponents after the Hammers are Everton and Bournemouth, who sit 14th and 13th in this updated Premier League form table.
A great chance for Rafa Benitez and his team to build on their recent great run.
Here is the Premier League form table which covers the past six matches for all teams:
