Jamaal Lascelles has revealed that he he’s apologised to Martin Dubravka.

The Newcastle defender admitting that when he watched TV replays of the late Wolves equaliser, he realised it was obviously a foul on the keeper.

Lascelles also admitting that even if it had been Dubravka’s fault, he shouldn’t have had such a public go at the Newcastle goalkeeper.

Plus, with the way Martin Dubravka has played this past year, he has been ‘outstanding’ and has plenty goodwill in the tank.

Jamaal Lascelles also says that he didn’t need to think too hard either as to when he had been responsible for a goal, the Newcastle Captain pointing to when Wolves scored their first goal at St James Park in December, Lascelles not marking and allowing the Wolves player to score from two yards out.

At the same, he insists that nothing changes in terms of he as captain being prepared to speak out when he feels it is necessary.

Jamaal Lascelles talking to Sky Sports:

“On the pitch there and then, I was juts angry with everything.

“”It wasn’t necessarily to do with him [Martin Dubravka], it was to do with everything.

“You know…because they scored in that minute.

“But when I look back at it, it was as clear as anything that it was a foul.

“So I did apologise to him and I shouldn’t really be doing that to him.

“I hold my hands up but at the same time I have got a job to do.

“I aint got the [Captain’s] armband because I’m technically the best, or I’m gifted or anything, it is because I am honest and hard working.

“I won’t change anything but it was a foul, clear as anything.

“We looked at it and we move on.

“Things happen, I said to Martin, the last time we played Wolves, I let my man score from two yards out.

“Martin has been an outstanding player for us  since he came here.

“We can’t say dropped points at all…

“One, it was a foul, and..

“Two, either way he has been unreal for us.”
