Huddersfield fans sold out 6 weeks ahead of Newcastle United match yet bizarrely didn’t ask for more tickets
Fair play to Huddersfield fans.
Six weeks before playing Newcastle United, they sold out all of the ticket allocation their club had taken for the game at St James Park.
Newcastle take on Huddersfield this Saturday (23 February) and I came across this below, where the Terriers confirmed on 14 January 2019 that all tickets had been sold.
A very decent effort from the Huddersfield fans, as their team is clearly doomed to relegation.
However, a bit strange that they didn’t ask for more tickets as they only took an initial allocation of 2,326 which sold out back on 14 January. They would have been entitled to just under a thousand more (maximum allocation is 3,200) and would have surely sold as well, with six weeks to do so.
A quick look on the Newcastle United ticketing site shows tickets on sale to NUFC fans that would normally be where away supporters would be.
