Breaking news on Chelsea on Friday morning.

News that will surely inspire Mike Ashley with Newcastle United.

BBC Sport are reporting that Chelsea have been banned from signing any new players in the summer 2019 transfer window and the January 2020 one.

The ban is a punishment for the West London club ‘in relation to the international transfer and registration of players under the age of 18.’

No doubt Mike Ashley will be getting his minions frantically looking into ways whereby he can attract a similar FIFA ban for Newcastle United.

Giving him the ultimate justification in not allowing Rafa Benitez, or any replacement, to buy any players…

Breaking news from BBC Sport:

Chelsea have been banned from signing new players in the next two transfer windows for breaching rules in relation to the international transfer and registration of players under the age of 18, Fifa has announced.

‘They have also been fined 600,000 Swiss francs, while the Football Association has been fined 510,000 Swiss francs.

The ban does not prevent the release of players and will not apply to Chelsea’s women’s and futsal teams.’
