Burnley fans comments ahead of Newcastle United tonight

Burnley fans travel to St James Park tonight, having not seen their team lost in the Premier League since Boxing Day.

Rafa Benitez’ team look to make it four home Premier League wins in a row, whilst Burnley are unbeaten in eight home and away (five wins, three draws).

Burnley fans bought up the initial small 1,155 tickets allocation their club originally took.

They requested another 240 tickets last Wednesday, meaning there will be a maximum of 1,395 Burnley fans inside St James Park tonight.

Quite realistic comments as they generally seem to think it will be a tough game that could go either way.

Miguel Almiron getting noticed already though.

Burnley fans comment via their Up The Clarets message board:

‘I’ll go for 1-1, both teams playing well.

Might nick it late on.’

‘There is a real buzz about the club again similar to last season and I’m starting to get back to the feeling that the only team I wouldn’t fancy us to at least get a draw against is Man City.

Newcastle are certainly no pushover and are in some decent form themselves at the moment. I envisage a very tight game but hope we can nick it so will go for 1-0 to us.’

‘Newcastle look good going forward, but not great at the back. I would be happy with a 0-0 draw, but you never know.’

‘You talking about the team with the joint 5th best defence in the prem? We on the other hand are the 5th worse for goals conceded!’

‘I would love it if we beat them.’

‘Watched Newcastle the other day and the new signing looks a handful.

I think unfortunately after Sat it will after the Lord Mayors show, 3-1 defeat.’

‘It will be interesting to see how their new signing goes on against Tarks and Mee. He did look a handful and very skilful, it will be a tough game for us tonight.’

‘Where is everybody going for pre match jars?’

‘I’m sure someone will be able to name the pub close to the ground that is really popular but this really is one of the friendly away places to visit. I think they direct most of their anger at Ashley.’

‘Rosies bar near Chinese gate.’

‘Trent House, Hotspur and Bodega are generally welcoming watering holes for visiting supporters.’

‘Four of us going, including my nine year old grandson who was born within sight of Newcastle’s ground and still lives up there.
I converted him to the cause, much to his dad’s horror.

All of us Clarets will be wanting at least a point from the game but think of the little lad going to his school the next day if we have been beaten.

If that happens I will tell him that it will be character building.’
