Alan Shearer names one Newcastle United star in his Premier League team of the week

Alan Shearer  has chosen his Premier League team of the week.

The 11 players selected from the 10 games played at the weekend in match week 25.

A pretty even spread as Shearer picks players from nine different clubs.

Only Cardiff and Wolves having two each.

Alan Shearer has only picked one player from the match at Wembley on Saturday, though ironically he is from the losing team.

Jamaal Lascelles picked ahead of others after the 1-0 defeat to Tottenham.

Lascelles looks a lot happier playing in the middle of the three central defenders, as opposed to being the right hand one when Fernandez was also selected in previous matches.

Maybe not reaching the heights of last season but nevertheless the NUFC captain a key part of Rafa’s team.
