There were 11 Newcastle United loan players involved in total on Saturday.

Blackpool are now eighth, four points off the play-offs and visit Sunderland on Tuesday night.

Callum Roberts was also an unused substitute, as Colchester beat Cheltenham 3-0.

Colchester are now fourth and five points off the automatic promotion places.

Dan Barlaser played the full 90 minute and Lewis Gibson was an unused sub as Accrington Stanley lost 2-0 at Scunthorpe.

They are now 16th in League One but only three points off relegation.

Joseph Yarney played the full game as Chesterfield beat Halifax 1-0.

Chesterfield now outside the relegation zone in the National League but only on goal difference.

Jamie Sterry was an unused substitute as Crewe drew 3-3 at Macclesfield.

Crewe are now 15th in League Two.
