Newcastle United official announcement confirms Elias Sorensen loan move
Elias Sorensen has joined Blackpool on loan.
The 19 year old has 19 goals for Newcastle’s reserve side this season and then added two for Denmark’s Under 21 side in two appearances against Mexico this past week.
His last 17 games for club and country having produced 17 goals.
Good luck to the young Newcastle forward, here’s to plenty more goals this season as he enjoys first team football with Blackpool in League One.
As it happens, Elias Sorensen only has to wait 22 days before Blackpool take on Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.
Tuesday 12 February the date for this League One fixture.
“You see Sean (Longstaff) getting a few games in the Premier League now and he went away to Blackpool and Kilmarnock, so a few loan spells for him worked very well.
“I spoke to him about it (this move) and he liked it when he was here.
“I thought it would be a great opportunity for me as well.
“I’m excited to see what it brings.
“Hopefully I can get a few games in League One and show what I’m capable of.”

‘Newcastle United forward Elias Sorensen has joined League One side Blackpool on loan until the end of the season.
The 19-year-old links up with Terry McPhillips’ men having just returned from international duty, and will remain at Bloomfield Road until the end of the current campaign.
Sorensen, who joined United from HB Køge in August 2016, has been in fine form for the Magpies’ under-23 side this term, netting 19 times.
This month, the frontman netted on his debut for Denmark Under-21s in Mexico, before adding another goal for his country in a subsequent fixture against the hosts in Mexico City.
He will now join the Tangerines who currently sit eighth in League One, two places and eight points shy of a play-off spot, and could make his debut at Coventry City on Saturday.
The Dane’s United teammate Sean Longstaff enjoyed a successful stint on loan at Blackpool last term, bagging nine goals in 45 outings for the Seasiders.’
