The Mag – Earlier Today (Tuesday 8 January 2019):
Blackburn v Newcastle will be screened on Live TV.
Tuesday afternoon seeing confirmation that the match will be shown on BT Sport.
The FA Cup third round replay has a 7.45pm kick-off on Tuesday 15 January.
No doubt Rafa Benitez will be relieved it isn’t on the Wednesday, as that would have given 24 hours less preparation time for the key Newcastle v Cardiff relegation clash on Saturday 19 January.
The fourth round draw took place on Monday night and either Newcastle United or Blackburn will be home to Watford at the end of January, with fourth round matches to be played the weekend of Saturday 26 January.
Official Newcastle United announcement:
‘Newcastle United will travel to Blackburn Rovers for the FA Cup third round replay on Tuesday, 15th January, with kick-off set for 7.45pm.
And the tie between Tony Mowbray’s men and the Magpies will also be screened live on BT Sport.
The Magpies drew 1-1 with the Championship side at St. James’ Park on Saturday, with Matt Ritchie’s late penalty cancelling out Bradley Dack’s headed opener.
And now they will have to do battle again, this time at Ewood Park, with a place in the fourth round – and a home tie against Watford – up for grabs for the winners.’
