Premier League form table well worth a look ahead of Newcastle v Fulham

The Premier League form table ahead of Newcastle United taking on Fulham.

In recent games (last seven), Newcastle have beaten three of the five clubs who are now at the very bottom end of the recent form table.

Bournemouth, Watford and Huddersfield all beaten since the start of November and now NUFC face yet another club with poor recent form.

Fulham only have four points from their last six games, Ranieri picking up a win in his first game, home to Southampton, then a draw against his old club Leicester.

However, if you go further back, the Cottagers have actually picked up only four points in their last 11 matches, desperate form in recent times, but their overall form sending them rock bottom of the full Premier League table after 17 games.

As for Newcastle, they have the joint sixth best recent form, having picked up 10 points from a potential 18, the same as Chelsea and Wolves.

Then if you extend that, Rafa’s team have picked up 14 points from the last eight games, compared to only two from the first nine.

If you look beyond Saturday, the recent form league actually gives Newcastle United a bit of a boost as well.

Liverpool have a perfect last six game record as well as top of the full table, but after playing them on Boxing Day, NUFC then have Watford (one win in last six) and Man Utd (also one win in last six).

It is then Chelsea away, who have an identical last six game record to Newcastle, and whilst Cardiff are showing three wins in their last six games, it is telling that in this six game period they have still lost all three away, meaning Newcastle facing them at St James Park on the 19 January should have a great chance.

The current full Premier League table, then the form one over these last six games.

Here is the Premier League form table which covers the past six matches for all teams:
