The Liverpool team v Newcastle has just been confirmed.

Jurgen Klopp paying Newcastle United and Rafa Benitez full respect.

Much talk beforehand, especially amongst Liverpool fans, of the manager resting star players ahead of playing Arsenal on Saturday.

However, Klopp has gone with his star trio Salah, Mane and Firmino up front.

Whilst his best defenders, Van Dijk and Robertson, also start.

The three changes from the 2-0 win over Wolves on Friday, are Milner, Fabinho and Keita left out, with Alexander-Arnold, Wijnaldum and Shaqiri coming in.

Not exactly a weakening of the team!

Liverpool team v Newcastle:

Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Lovren, Van Dijk, Robertson, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Shaqiri, Salah, Mane, Firmino

Subs

Mignolet, Clyne, Fabinho, Keita, Sturridge, Lallana, Origi

As for Newcastle United, this is who Rafa Benitez starts with:

Dubravka, Yedlin, Fernandez, Lascelles, Dummett, Ritchie, Diame, Hayden, Kenedy, Muto, Joselu

The subs:

Woodman, Manquillo, Schar, Longstaff, Murphy, Perez, Rondon

If Newcastle are to get anything today then they will have to do it the hard way, with Jurgen Klopp not taking any chances in his team selection.
