  • Kenny

Where`s Monk, Perez needs a boost in the rantings

    • Wezza

He is probably too busy refreshing 10 for Perez!
He has been awful… BUT he was top scorer last season so he has a get out of jail free card. (monks logic)

      • Kenny

He has had one purple patch in over 4 years here, i wouldn`t give him a new contract if he played for nothing.

    • Peaky

Still on the bus….M1….248th verse of The Tractor Song….Stella in hand….

      • Kenny

Last time i looked he was 3 so someone has been banging away

  • csh

Atsu MOTM for me, nice to see someone taking on the opposition without losing the ball for once…

    • Rabid Dog

I agree. I think yesterday Atsu’s contribution to the whole match was completely the opposite to Perez. Atsu was involved, forward, pushing up, attacking, whereas Perez was often further behind Hayden and Diame and then missing on the pitch. His cross in for Rondon’s disallowed goal was sublime tho. He just doesn’t show that often enough.

  • Peaky

We are going to get mullered v Man Utd…

    • JohnnyH

Ole Gunnar saltsellers got them playing again, Watching Pogba now with a point to prove, he is nearly as good as his ego, it’ll be the same as the Liverpool game, a hiding.

      • Peaky

Do you know what, I’m already sensing a final game winner takes all at Craven Cottage…

        • JohnnyH

Dire end of season relegation battle looming
          No doubt about it

      • Duh

You never know. We are hard to break down; Liverpool got gifted 2 goals against a team that featured Joselu.

I can’t see anything but a home loss but I don’t see it 4-0 or 5-1 unless there is a sending off or something.

Fernandez is a big loss if he does not play though.

        • JohnnyH

Fernandez has been massive. Hope he’s fit.

    • Kenny

No we`re not, be 1 or 2 in it, all those idiots blaming Rafa for the defeat by Liverpool then they go and rip up a team in the top 3.

      • Duh

Aye and we did not play our first 11 and Liverpool got gifted the first 2 goals

        • Kenny

Dodgy penalty, i think we will give Man U a game, i`m not saying we can beat them but they won`t take us to the cleaners

      • Peaky

It’s terrible when 1 or 2 in it will actually feel like a victory….SBR will be spinning…

    • KennySamsung

Never heard of him is he (Mullered) the guy from Bayer Lerverkusen? 🤣
      Sorry couldn’t resist.

I think we’ll beat Man Utd but then again in my head we’ve won this game 3-0.

  • robbersdog

Perez is the most frustrating player in the squad. He’s got bags of ability, but he doesn’t seem able to harness it properly and play to his potential on a consistent basis.

    • Kenny

Ability is nothing unless you can apply it, i don`t even think he could play in the Championship.

      • Duh

        He’s good for £1.5m 😉

        • Kenny

to be honest i wouldn`t have him at the club

          • Peaky

Me neither….all this fingers in the ears business shows what a petulant little shyte he is….

          • Kenny

            he`s pathetic

          • mentalman

He still managed to finish the game

          • Kenny

            A major rick by Rafa

          • JohnnyH

It’s like he thinks he’s on top form, and we just can’t see it, the fingers thing.
A couple of nice touches once every 6 games isn’t of enough.
Get rid in January for me, for a good number 10

    • Tweed Mag

He was a bargain buy, with the hope he would improve and become a good player. He has certainly shown promise. Unfortunately, he has stood still and is not good enough to play at number 10.

  • Rabid Dog

Does anyone know where you can access the match day player stats?

I know you can get cumulative from the premiership website, but I’d like a match by match comparison to see how Perez actually scores.

He keeps appearing in the EPL top performers. I have no idea how…. I want the data to review

    • csh

Would imagine optasports dot com would be the one to look at

      • Rabid Dog

        Cheers, will check it out

      • csh

in fact better detailed breakdown is on whoscored dot com

    • Themoscow72

The Chronicle gave him a 7 for his all round contribution to the team.
Most fans do not look at the defensive work he does and the number of successful passes but Rafa and the Sky power index does.

      • Rabid Dog

See above. His contribution to the team, which the data supports, was 3rd worst from all players with pitch time.

        Data, not supposition.

  • Toontaff

Shelvey’s wanting Brylcreem Boy’s panto villain role! Doucoure’s behind you……..

  • Themoscow72

The Chronicle gave Perez a 7 for his defensive work and number of touches on the ball. However they watch the game as does Rafa.

    • Rabid Dog

His defensive work was hardly profound.

      Defensive and passing stats:
2 tackles, 2 interceptions, 38 touches of the ball, 20 passes with 70% completion. No blocked shots, committed 2 fouls.

      Offensive stats:
No shots, no shots on target, no dribbles, was fouled 3 times.

Only Lacelles and Shelvey had worse stats….

The Chronicle may score him a 7. He was not a 7 and definitely the 3rd worst player on the pitch according to the data.

  • Mike

perez should never come near the team

    • Derek Osborne

      totally agree
