Newcastle United have just made an official announcement that the Newcastle v Blackburn FA Cup third round match has now been moved.

This is despite the club having put out an announcement earlier today (see below) saying the game definitely wasn’t on live TV and so the date was as expected, Saturday 5 January with a 3pm kick-off.

All a bit amateur hour and lack of communication as now NUFC say the match kick-off is moved to 5.30pm for Live TV coverage.

However, you won’t be able to see the game, that is unless you live overseas.

The club apologising and saying the game has been chosen for ‘international broadcast’ to be shown live in other countries.

Newcastle United (second) official announcement (of the day):

’Newcastle United have been informed by the FA that our Emirates FA Cup Third Round game at home to Blackburn Rovers has been selected for international broadcast, and will now kick off at the later time of 5.30pm.

The tie – originally scheduled to kick off at 3pm on Saturday, 5th January – was not chosen for domestic broadcast by either the BBC or BT.

Tickets for the game are priced at £10 for adults and £5 for concessions. Those prices will rise to £20 and £10 respectively on the day.

Newcastle United apologise for any inconvenience caused.’

The Mag – Earlier Today (Friday 7 December 2018:

Newcastle v Blackburn has been confirmed on its expected date.

The FA Cup third round tie will be played on Saturday 5 January and kick-off at 3pm.

It would have been very surprising if it had been moved for live TV, maybe possible if it had been Newcastle playing away at Blackburn.

The date was basically confirmed yesterday, when the six matches moved for live TV were confirmed.

Newcastle United announcement:

‘Newcastle United’s Emirates FA Cup Third Round game at home to Blackburn Rovers will take place on Saturday, 5th January.

Tickets for the tie – which kicks off at 3pm – are priced at £10 for adults and £5 for concessions. Those prices will rise to £20 and £10 respectively on the day of the game.

Rovers last visited St. James’ Park during the Magpies’ title-winning Championship campaign, when – surprisingly – they won 1-0 thanks to Charlie Mulgrew’s second-half strike.

The two clubs have met 11 times in the FA Cup – including replays – with United winning six and losing just twice.

Their last meeting in the competition came during the 2011/12 campaign – also at the Third Round stage – with the Magpies running out 2-1 winners at St. James’ Park.’

Comte de Sennevel champers down to 11.49 euros a bottle in our Lidl on Saturday – and it`s decent stuff. I`ll raise a glass to you and your mates on Sunday!

There was also a bottle of 12 year-old Arbelour in a fancy fake leather box for 23.95 (the 10 year was 19 euros-odd!). Can`t get any more bottles in my cupboard at the mo so had to pass.

        • Peaky

Only if the club hasn’t been passed down the Ashley generations…..Christ there’s a thought…..we’ll have gone out of existence if that’s the case….probably by 2025…

      • Billmag

Bought a bottle of Champers after we came back from Wembley in 74, said to my mate’s I will open it when we win a Cup, it looks very much like I will have to hand it down my mate’s 5year old Grandson.😀.

      • Wor Lass

They`re all over having pallet fires on roundabouts. You just stick a gilet on the dashboard and give them the thumbs up and nowts the matter.

          • Wor Lass

        • JohnnyH

Love the French, when they kick off you know about it.
We put up with whatever the [email protected] dish out

          • Wor Lass

          • Kenny

            😂😂

          • Wor Lass

Yep! One big thing we`ve noticed is how much they talk to themselves. They wander around the supermarket aisles having full-blown conversation with themselves. It`s hilarious. It seems a bit like that in london but they`re all on hands-free mobiles.

          • Peaky

            🤣😂🤣🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷

  • Wezza

Doesn’t really matter when it’s moved to we will be setup to lose and focus on relegation.

    • Realist

Shut up man you boring negative [email protected] Funny how majority of the negativity comes from people who don’t even go.

      • Superdooperhooper

And we’ve progressed beyond the third round how many times under ashley ? And you call yourself realist?

      • Billmag

You call yourself Realist, isn’t it realistic to say nothing has changed over the last eleven years as far as the Cups is concerned.

        • joe mac

          exactly!

        • Leazes.

Sounds like Brian Standen to me

      • GlasgowMag

Funny enough I go so in the last 11 years how far have we progressed in the fa cup????

        • Realist

We haven’t done well yes I agree. But the constant negativity on here is pointless. Does wezza know we will be set up by rafa a world class manager to lose and focus on relegation, course he doesnt and I’m sure rafa will give it a good go. Wezza comes comes out with some silly comments and deep down I think he likes it when we fail as he and others thrive of nufc failing. We got to quarter final of Europa league and league cup in pardew era and have done with rafa and very unlucky to lose on penalties to hull. I think people should either support rafa and the lads until a new owner arrives or they can f#k off. This site name should be changed to something like the mike Ashley’s nufc hate site. Roll on wolves and up the mags.
