Sean Dyche press conference reports which Burnley players are injured and who’s fit to face Newcastle United
Sean Dyche has confirmed which players he will, and won’t, have available for Monday night’s match,
The Burnley boss giving his pre-Newcastle press conference on Thursday afternoon.
The manager stating that England international James Tarkowski won’t be available.
In addition, fellow England defender Ben Gibson isn’t quite ready and will instead play for the Under 23s this weekend, as he continues towards full fitness.
Meanwhile both Nick Pope and Stephen Ward are also still not ready to return either.
Goalkeeper Nick Pope hsn’t played in the Premier League since May, whilst left-back Stephen Ward has been out since August.
Johann Berg Gudmundsson was forced to pull out of the Iceland squad but he has returned to training, Sean Dyche confirming he is fit and available for Monday.
Gudmundsson got an assist when Hendrick scored the only goal against Newcastle in the shocking match at Turf Moor last season.
Meanwhile, despite being forced off through injury against Leicester two weeks ago, midfielder Steven Defour is fit to face Newcastle United.
