The Premier League form table tells its own story for both Newcastle United and West Ham.
The two clubs tied on 12 points in the full league table though the Magpies having a superior goal difference.
However, when it comes to recent form, the pair have been moving in different directions.
West Ham have only one victory since September and that was three games ago at home to Burnley, who are now rock bottom of the Premier League form table after Newcastle beat them on Monday night.
Newcastle are one of only three clubs to have won all three games in November, to put Rafa Benitez in line for the manager of the month award, the other two being Spurs and Man City.
In fact the form table sees Newcastle eighth overall, with only the ‘big six’ and Everton above them.
Everton have the fourth best recent form but the other clubs Newcastle face before Christmas, are now all below NUFC in the form league and out of 24 combined games they have only won five between them.
Huddersfield are 10th in the Premier League form table, West Ham 15th, Wolves 16th and Fulham 18th.
Rafa’s players hopefully now hitting top form at just the right time, when playing the clubs they are likely to be competing with this season, plus of course that provide more ‘winnable’ matches.
