An interesting exclusive on Friday morning regarding Mike Ashley.

It is reported that the Newcastle United owner was involved in a heated confrontation with a Newcastle fan at a restaurant.

Last month of course saw Mike Ashley confronted by Newcastle fans in Ponteland, when leaving after a PR stunt that saw him having a meal with Rafa Benitez and the Newcastle players.

On that occasion the supporters told him to leave Newcastle United and the NUFC owner responded with a two finger gesture once safely inn is car, though he later claimed it was two fingers but not a two finger gesture…

In this latest incident, a Newcastle fan is reported to have approached Ashley and after at first welcoming the attention, it all kicked off when the NUFC supporter called the owner ‘a parasite’ and advised him to ‘get out the club and the city.’

Mike Ashley said to then have turned bright red in embarrassment and to have threatened the Newcastle fan ‘I’ll knock you out you f…ing p…k. Get the f… out of here. F… off before I knock you out.’

A spokesman for Mike Ashley confirmed that the incident took place.

The Newcastle fan and those he was with, were then asked to leave the restaurant.

Interestingly, it was the Paradise restaurant in Hampstead, North West London, where this confrontation took place.

The same Paradise restaurant where Mike Ashley met Amanda Staveley last December, when Mike Ashley was supposedly willing to sell the club and Amanda Staveley was supposedly fronting a group that were interested in buying NUFC.

It is The Sun who have carried (curried?) the exclusive and interestingly, it was they who were also tipped off by whoever last December and had the exclusive on the photos of Staveley and Ashley at the restaurant.

Sounds like a waiter might be getting a few extra quid due to tips…

The Sun:

‘Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley launched into an expletive-filled tirade in a curry house and threatened to “knock out” a fan who goaded him.

The billionaire retail boss, 54, initially shook hands with the Magpies supporter when he came over to introduce himself.

But Ashley’s mood flipped when the fan called him a “parasite” and told him to “get out the club and the city” of Newcastle.

A witness said Ashley blasted back: “I’ll knock you out you f…ing p…k. Get the f… out of here.

“F… off before I knock you out.”

The fan and his party were then asked to leave by the management at Paradise restaurant in Hampstead, North West London.

The witness added: “Ashley thought the fan was coming to say hello, but then realised what was happening.

“He went bright red, screwed his face up and turned the air blue with his ranting.”

A spokesman for Ashley confirmed he was having a meal when approached by “an individual who became threatening, aggressive and offensive”.’

  • Kenny

    😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

  • Toontaff

Who was it? Can we shake his hand?

  • GlasgowMag

If the situation is getting a bit tough for you Mike why don’t you just leave!!! This is why he hides behind his PR machine because he is a loose cannon, keep up the pressure guys it’s obviously starting to get to him!! Ashley out!! Very funny story thought the fan was just going to shake his hand then….😂😂🤣🤣

  • Peaky

Fat despicablecunt……dregs of this fuckingplanet……that lad needs the Freedom of The City….

    • Kenny

      The pressure is building,

      • Peaky

        RAMP IT UP…..RAMP IT UP…..RAMP IT UP……

  • Paul Patterson

He needs to sell the club as there’s only one way this is going and I fear its going to get ugly.
    Nobody wants that.

    • Mrkgw

Agreed. There’s a way and means and that for me, is not it.

  • Leazes.

The asset strip was completed last year….what more does he want to taker?

    Time to go!

    • HarryHype59

The till will have another £120m TV cash and the Lascelles fee in it, before Mike empties it in June!

He may then decide to sell this asset stripped husk of a club.

  • Paul Patterson

OFFS! Hang on a minute. There’s a scenario we’re overlooking here . . It may have never happened and this is more PR.
The witness to the ‘event’ was probably Bishop . .

  • Themoscow72

Yes he was out for a meal maybe with his family and someone had a pop. Mike should have dragged him outside and given him a kicking. Incidents like this and the chant at Southampton we are having a party when Ashley dies will turn the media, other fans and a lot of ours against the Magpie Group and their aims. We have been Champions at protesting since the sixties and it will never change.

    • Paul Patterson

You’re an idiot and your defense of the owner knows no bounds and is quite sycophantic, so much so that you advocate him giving a fan ‘a kicking’ which would have resulted in jail time for your glorious hero.
‘He called me names your honour’
      ‘Tough, two years in nick’.

      • Tweed Mag

        Spot on

      • Themoscow72

What right does a person have to give someone abuse when they are out having a quiet meal none. If someone had done that to me there would have been nowt the matter I can tell you. Incidents like this will turn people and the media against the Magpie Group and quite rightly so.

        • Squintytoonarmy

I thought you were ex bender squad and would advocate a bit of mayhem.

          • Themoscow72

That bloke you see with Ashley all the time he nicked me four years ago.

          • Wezza

            For what?

          • panther

Manslaughter someone got stuck in a lift with him and jumped off the roof

          • Wezza

He’s too busy trolling on other names lol.

          • Squintytoonarmy

Wezza asked already but I’m interested – nicked for what?

          • Themoscow72

Let’s just say football related .

          • Wor Lass

Did he catch you climbing over the wall at SJP and make you go back in?

          • Toon Arnie

Or alternatively let’s just say you’re making it up.

          • Wezza

In other words he couldn’t think of a reason therefore he came up with a generic, lame excuse, that only sad, pathetic trolls do.

          • Squintytoonarmy

Bizarrely if Moscow is the Monk I believe he genuinely loves the club but he’s a few chunks short of a pineapple

          • Toon Arnie

You were nicked ? Trying too hard to get a selfie with Fat Mike?

        • Wezza

No right to threaten someone with physical harm, dolt. You are shameful aren’t you?

          • Carverlier football

No doubt if someone threatened MA with physical harm he would deem it unacceptable

          • Wezza

            Spot on and he did.

          • Carverlier football

Ah right, I can’t read his posts :)

          • Wezza

In regards to the ‘I got threatened I can’t take my kids to the match’ line.
Only when he gets caught out he plays woe is me.

        • Toon Arnie

Thankfully, nobody is that bothered about you ( despite your best efforts ) so you should be ok and in turn the world is a safer place.

      • Billmag

His highly paid Lawyer’s would get him off Paul.

    • Toon Arnie

With his family ? Have you just made that bit up ? Given him a kicking – really ? So using your rationale if someone had smashed all the windows on Ashley’s car while he was flicking the V’s last week that would have been justified ? Come on, talk sense.

    • MadMag83

How do you know this fan was part of the Magpie Group? You seem quick to slander them without evidence, yet leap to defend Mike Ashley threatening a fan.

Ashley didn’t need to resort to threats of physical violence, he could quite easily have asked the restaurant to have the fan removed (which they did anyway). Had he done that he would “won” but as it is he’s “lost” because he’s just made himself look like a bully.

  • Sickandtired

If Fatty wants to attempt knocking out abusive fans, all he has to do is walk outside of St James’ – without his bald Rangers tie wearing bodyguard. Any day of the week would do, there’s tens of thousands of us.

    • Paul Patterson

That’s my fear and we don’t want that .

      • Sickandtired

Threatening physical violence in response to verbal abuse was his apparent choice. If accurate, the ‘fan’ said nowt more than is sung on the terraces, and clearly the obese one has skin thinner than the whale he resembles.

        • Paul Patterson

Fully agree. But we don’t want it to escalate to violence. That would bring trouble to the fans.

          • Sickandtired

The only violence offered came from Fatty. I’m not advocating for it, simply stating that his threats could be adequately measured in real life if he so chooses…

    • Themoscow72

He is not a body guard and while ex navy and ex copper he is in charge
of players security that is all. His proper body guard was huge hands like shovels.

      • East Durham Mag

Have you blo … met him in a lift?

        • Themoscow72

Been nicked by him at matches.

  • Tweed Mag

Not the best thing to happen, but it shows how Ashley is unable to handle direct criticism. That’s what happens when you surround yourself with sychophants on the payroll (Monk Moscow for example).

  • Cockneytrev

Where’s the proof this actually happened?
    “The Sun Says”

  • Ba ba.

    Get the fat [email protected]

  • 45709

Ashley does have a face you wanna 🤛

If this is true it’s hilarious and the fan should call cops after being threatened, have him questioned

    • mentalman

There will be a number of customers and countless staff who all say the fan was the aggressor and MA was acting in self defence

      • Down Under Mag

Sadly they would probably be right….

      • 45709

Probably but it’d be good putting him through it

  • HarryHype59

Well done that fan. I wouldn’t normally sanction such behaviour. However, Ashley deserves all the stick he gets. Let’s hope the continued pressure persuades him to sell up.

  • graham18

Wasn’t Rafa in disguise by any chance?

  • Realist

I think if someone approaches you then you are well within your rights to defend yourself wether that be verbally or physically.

    • Wezza

Well within your rights to threaten someone with physical harm. Good one.

      • Realist

Yes when provoked. In this case Ashley was.

        • Wezza

Yeah you might want to take a look at your name and try again, you’ll be ignored from now on, thanks.

          • Realist

            😂 I’m heartbroken.

        • porciestreet

Cashley has no rights. Hes a cant.

        • Toon Arnie

          Wrong.

    • porciestreet

Just wish hed slung one and missed and the lad had lumped the fat git.

    • Toon Arnie

As usual you’ve got it wrong.

      • Realist

        Your opinion.

  • Lord

How’s the Sports Direct Twitter feed looking like these days, Mike? Doesn’t seem to be blowing over, does it.

  • Paul Cannell

He “turned bright red” he must have looked a right clip especially if he had those massive jeans on

    • Peaky

How much to push him to the point of internal combustion….there’s a challenge Channel 5 could snap up…

  • X,WHY,Y MAN.

He probably took the abuse at first until the bloke got far too near his plate of food then he kicked off !

    • Peaky

“You can call me all you want but DO NOT go near my chips”….😡😡😡

      • Rich Lawson

”and why’s there no cheese on them” ?

  • toonterrier

The last thing you want when you’re full of wind is Indian food. The fat git already lives in Paradise thanks to the money he’s getting form the toon supporters. Now is the time to poison the bloke by staying away until he’s gone.

  • magpiefifer

    Ashley full of class,as always!!
If he had any class he would have handled it with a bit more civility – but then again he’s a totally ignorant [email protected] whatsit!!

  • Tom

Finally someone with a bit of common sense! If someone came up to me in a restaurant and said that i would’ve offered to stick one on them too…as much as he needs to sell up, he is a human being after all.

    • Leazes.

No he isn’t…. Why have you come on as a guest David?

      • Wezza

Oh not again. These Lee brothers are a joke.

        • Leazes.

          Don’t humour me.

    • Cockneytrev

      Troll

    • porciestreet

No hes not , hes a tumour.

    • Toon Arnie

Yeah so is Jonas but the Fat Oaf didn’t treat him like one despite everything he had gone through – no sympathy for the fat idiot.

  • Wezza

I’m with Pat on this one… it may be PR spin…
“Look Fat Mike cant even enjoy a curry, woe is him”

Sorry FCB but you messed with peoples lives at Shirebrook and everywhere else you’ve got your fingers in. You reap what you sew.

    • Cockneytrev

      Exactly,, where’s the proof?
In this day and age your telling me a group of lads and one walks over to Ashley in a restaurant and one of the other ones isn’t videoing it,,
      I’m not having it,,,,

    • Carverlier football

Just like the imagined threats of physical harm to his family after Keegan was constructively dismissed

      • Wezza

        Yep thats the one.

    • Peaky

Bet he was the biggest (literally) tell tale at school and ran to mummy to sort his arguments out…

      • Wezza

It really does appear so. He probably has a massive psychological problem which came from school he was either the bully or was bullied and has a massive chip on his shoulder.

        • Peaky

Yes….classic case of ‘the hunted is now the hunter’….

  • Peaky

The script will already be drafted that it was the fans fault why we were relegated…..this regime holds no bounds….

  • Leazes.

I seem to remember Ashley threatening physical violence to Tony Blair as well….. he does seem the violent sort, bubbling just under the surface….

    • BigHairyDog

He’s the exact type who says he’ll knock someone out but when someone doesn’t backdown he blabs like a baby.

      • Leazes.

He is a great big baby.

  • Nathan Anthony Shilling

I Think All You Geordies Should Stop Complaining And Support Your Football Club, Your Stuck With Ashley Get Used To It And Start Getting Behind The Manager And Players Or Your Not Gonna Be Playing In The Premier league Much Longer.

    • Wezza

Yes we may be stuck with him but at least we don’t type with a capital letter for every word.

    • Wor Lass

If you inserted “Fu(kwit” between Anthony and Shilling your initials would be NAFS – Not A Full Shilling.

    • HarryHype59

Enjoy your third tier match this weekend.

    • porciestreet

Nathan my dear boy…F**k off and mind yr own business, theres agood mackem.

      • Realist

        Oi oi captain birdseye

    • Dillon Tovak

Are you ok? You seem to have serious problems writing a sentence.
There are support networks in place to help.

      • MadMag83

        Such as school perhaps? 😁

    • Peaky

Have looked for something cryptic amongst the capital letters and weird punctuation…..but nope…..you’re just a fuckingprick……

    • Leazes.

It’s ‘you’re stuck’ not ‘your’…. you keep doing that!

      Really annoying.

    • Toon Arnie

Ok Nathan thanks for that bombshell – nice to hear from you.

    • JohnCornwell’sHair

      Interesting use of capital letters.

  • panther

He’d have a cardiac arrest trying to swing a punch

    • Dillon Tovak

He’d do a 360 with all his chins picking up momentum as he swung.

  • Wor Lass

To be honest, you can`t blame Ashley for sticking up for himself. At least he was being up-front and not flicking serruptitious V-signs behind his neck.

    • Rich Lawson

Bet the lad in question was only about 11 ?

      • Wor Lass

Actually, Rich, I was going to say thet I was a bit peeved at having to leave before I had my pudd!

        • Rich Lawson

Got it wrapped in tin foil to take home.

      • Peaky

        😂😂😂

      • grantham mag

        Clarko,s twin .

    • BigHairyDog

No he should’ve said he was having a private meal with family/friends and the person was interrupting it. He behaves like a little Hitler, no doubt the he had one of his ex-door men guarding him who’d be the ones to do the “knocking out”.

      • Wor Lass

Listen, I hate the guy so I don`t like the idea of sticking up for him but maybe he did say all that . He`s shown himself up and given thee club a bad name but you can bet that his mates in the media will focus on the fan and not his reaction. I just think he`s within his rights to stand up to an individual harassing him even if he did go over the top. He was probably pi$$ed and acted like most of the people on here would have done who are slating him.

  • robbersdog

Reminds me of the line from ‘Get Carter’…

You’re a big man, but you’re in bad shape

    • Leazes.

Maybe Ryder could toss him off a multi storey car par somewhere.

      • Big Hairy Man

It seems that Ryder tosses him off anyway.

        • FatParosite

          And swallows every time..

      • Albert Stubbins

pity the one in Gateshead is now no longer otherwise a re enactment would have been highly anticipated.

  • TheFatController

We must remember that Ashley is the Big Victim in all this.

All he wanted was to use the club to promote his ego and company before a quick sale.

After 11 years of trying every which way to get both money back and revenge on the nasty persecuting Geordies, he really should have the sympathies of all.

However, I suspect most people will just think ‘fat greedy money grabbing attention seeking idiot’

  • Mxpx

I say fair play to the bloke who called him a parasite hes got a right to freedom of speech just as Ashley has a right to say what he wants back but threats of violence are not covered by free speech

  • Martin Rooney

Should boycott that Ashley loving restaurant.
March on it and protest outside it, the parasitical chef type people what they are.

  • bob0411

Knock him out how exactly? By sitting on him…?

  • Albert Stubbins

    Couldn’t knock out a w***!!

  • jinkyjimnufc

If 50,000 fans conspire to kill him they couldn’t lock everyone up – could they? Sorry I’m new to this “ultimate get rid of him” thing

  • Goobs

Don’t understand why Ashley wasn’t arrested on section 5 of the public order act (using foul and abusive language with the intent to cause a breach of the peace)

    • H

Money makes you innocent regardless of law and fact….

      Apparently

  • Davey drape

Is this the same Ashley who is too scared to put a foot on Scottish soil ?

  • JohnCornwell’sHair

He’d be welcome to try knocking me out anytime.

    • GToon

Exactly. Can u imagine that fat mess trying to show a punch. Now if he’d said I’m going to throw up all over you or eat you in a pie that might have been a bit more of a concern.

  • London_Mag

There is actually a house for sale opposite Ashleys house in Totteridge (6Million) and another along the road (2 million). It would be really funny if all the fans chipped in to buy them. We could let radgies from the toon stay there and they would get free rent as long as they hassled Ashley whenever he left his house. They could hold wild parties and make constant noise. They could Sh*t on his drive. Eight million is only £160 each for 50,000 fans and you would get most of the money back when you sell the properties. Might even make a profit if the market goes up. Never gonna happen but would be sooooo funny if it did.

    • Cockneytrev

I can only assume from Ashley’s reaction that his body guards and hotel security were in very close attendance. Why doesn’t he come into the Gallowgate today and try knocking a few people out. Add coward to his list of attributes.

  • jordijohnty

If I’d gone to a restaurant or a pub, even maybe a football match, and ashley was there, I would have gone over and had a word. I take it very personal what he has done to my club that I had invested over 40 years of my life on. cant believe im the only one
