Massive Saturday for Newcastle United as all of bottom 7 clubs playing could pick up points
Beating Watford has bought Newcastle United a raffle ticket and that ticket has to prove to be a winner this weekend.
Fulham are away at Liverpool on Sunday but all the rest of the bottom seven have games where they look as though they could get something out of them.
For starters, five of the bottom seven are all at home today, the exception is Burnley who are at Leicester.
The Foxes will be favourites for the game but in what is going to be an emotional day, I wouldn’t bet against Burnley getting a decent result.
The toughest game on paper is Crystal Palace hosting Spurs. However, Palace have already drawn 2-2 with Arsenal and they could get another point today.
Newcastle take on sixth placed Bournemouth of course and will be hoping to build on four points from the last two matches.
The other three games see 19th v 12th (Cardiff v Brighton), 18th v 13th (Huddersfield v West Ham) and 16th v 8th (Southampton v Watford).
I think today has the feel of a day when a lot of teams at the bottom will pick up points and Newcastle need to be on their game and pick up at least a point to keep that momentum going and possibly avoid dropping back into the relegation zone before the international break.
