Jamaal Lascelles explains why he is missing the Bournemouth match
Jamaal Lascelles hopes to be back playing for Newcastle at the end of November.
The United Captain aiming for the away game at Burnley on Monday 26 November.
Lascelles was forced off against Watford with a shoulder injury.
Rafa Benitez confirming after that game, the player had experienced problems in training.
Today in his match programme notes, Jamaal Lascelles explains why he is missing the Bournemouth game.
“I’ve been having problems with my shoulder.
“So I have had a scan, seen somebody about it, and – as I write – I’m working hard to get back to full fitness.
“It’s never nice coming off the pitch.
“Being captain, and being as involved as I have been over the last couple of years, having to watch the rest of the boys (play without me) is really difficult.
“But thought Fa (Schar), Ki and Ayo (Perez) all did a fantastic job (against Watford).”
