FIFA Ultimate Team of the week – Past and present Newcastle players named
One current Newcastle star has been selected, as the latest FIFA Ultimate Team of the week was announced today (Wednesday 14 November).
Also, one former Newcastle player has been included this week.
No surprise to see that the current NUFC star who is included is Salomon Rondon.
The striker putting in a two goal man of the match display against Bournemouth on Saturday.
The Newcastle striker listed as a reserve for the FIFA Ultimate Team of the week.
Alongside Rondon, former Newcastle keeper Matz Sels is included.
He joined a struggling Strasbourg (finished 15th last season) and with the new keeper’s help they are currently 8th in Ligue 1. At the weekend, Sels kept a clean sheet as they drew 0-0 at Lille.
In total, he has only conceded 16 goals in 13 league matches, with only six clubs conceding less than Strasbourg/Sels.
One interesting name in the FIFA Ultimate Team is Alassane Plea.
Newcastle were supposed to be serious about signing the French striker this summer, before he joined Borussia Monchengladbach for £21m.
He is looking a real player since stepping up into the Bundesliga from Nice, scoring eight league goals already despite only nine starts (two from the bench). He is averaging a goal every 98 minutes.
Plea scored a hat-trick this weekend to help his team win 3-1 away at Werder Bremen.
