Burnley v Newcastle has been delayed by 30 minutes.

The kick-off put back to 8.30pm due to a ‘medical emergency in the players’ tunnel.’

However, Burnley have made clear that this doesn’t involve any of the players in either team.

Hopefully it doesn’t prove too serious whoever it is,

Burnley official announcement:

“Kick off at tonight’s game will be delayed by 30 minutes.

“Due to a medical emergency in the players’ tunnel.

“Neither team or their staff are affected.

“The person involved has been taken to hospital in a conscious state.”

(Update: Announced that it was referees’ assessor Eddie Wolstenholme who collapsed in the tunnel before kick-off)

The Mag – Earlier Tonight (Monday 26 November):

The Newcastle team v Burnley has just been confirmed.

Rafa Benitez looking to get his third victory in a row.

A win at Turf Moor would take Newcastle United four points clear of the drop zone.

The manager making only the one change.

Ciaran Clark replacing the injured Paul Dummett.

Jonjo Shelvey the only returning from injury player deemed fit enough to return to the squad but only on the bench.

As reported earlier today, Karl Darlow is now out injured.

A real positive to see Freddie Woodman given the chance ahead of Rob Elliot to step up to the bench.

Rafa has named Ciaran Clark as Captain, nothing against Clark but I think Federico Fernandez would have been the perfect choice.

This is who Rafa Benitez starts with:

Dubravka, Yedlin, Schar, Fernandez, Clark, Kenedy, Ritchie, Ki, Diame, Perez, Rondon

The subs:

Woodman, Manquillo, Shelvey, Hayden, Murphy, Atsu, Joselu
