Bournemouth fans have every reason to be happy at the minute.

Now 13 weeks into the season and sitting sixth in the Premier League just ahead of Manchester United.

Things could have been even better as the Cherries deserved led last weekend’s game before Rashford equalised and a cruel last gasp winner sealed it for Man Utd.

On the road, as well as beating West Ham earlier, the last two away matches have seen travelling Bournemouth fans watch their team win 4-0 at Watford and 3-0 at Fulham.

Newcastle have just beaten Watford but the overwhelming view from the Bournemouth fans is that this was a case of Rafa’s team having all the luck.

The visitors have every reason to be confident but can this Newcastle team make it a wasted journey for those from the south coast…?

Bournemouth fans comment via their Up The Cherries message board:

‘Newcastle’s confidence could be up after their win and, given our fixture list, it’s important we get something from this one. May turn into a tense one.’

‘From what I saw of the highlights – they were actually pretty lucky – Watford couldn’t hit a cow’s backside with a banjo!’

‘If we attack and play like we did in the first half like Saturday (against Man Utd) we won’t have any problems.’

‘Their win last week was a complete and total fluke. They’re incredibly sh.., probably one of the worst teams in the league, and the only reason they might not go down this year is because there are about 5 other teams that are just as bad as they are.’

‘Watford should have been out of sight by half time.

Newcastle then had injuries to Lascelles and Shelvey (in theory 2 of their best players) but the enforced subs apparently improved the team and they sneaked a win. Even then Watford missed a sitter in the last minute.’

‘Well if Newcastle set up to attack and win the game then that’s ok by us, because we’d have more chance winning ourselves than we would if they setup to defend. Rafa is excellent at setting up a team defensively, better than Mark Hughes. And like Hughes did, if Rafa wanted to grind out a 0-0 draw, there’s a good chance he’d achieve that. Should be a good game.’

‘Watford fan here – Well all I can say is you probably won’t be as wasteful as us were last week!

Newcastle weren’t great but got the win so fair enough.

Hopefully we won’t be such a problem v Southampton…

Speaking of bad pundits – just heard Danny Kelly say you’ve not done much on the road.

I guess winning your last two away games 7-0 on aggerate isn’t enough!’

‘Morning folks. Hardly ever post, but rather excited this morning. Bringing 5 mates down from Edinburgh to watch the game today. Did we sell our full 1800 allocation?

More importantly, what pub(s) are we congregating in? I want to get the singing voice prepared pre-match.’

‘We all met in Yates last year.’

‘You have to visit ..The Strawberry.. right outside the ground.’

‘Was there two years ago for the 3-1 victory and there was a great bar next to the ground – loads of screens for the early game (though it’s not a riveting contest today). No idea what it’s called though, could have been the strawberry.’

‘Not going today, but The Bodega was really friendly and close to the ground.

If moaning Magpies is your kind of thing, give it a go.’

Another Saturday another pub team turning up in toon saying where [email protected] and the worst team in the league and their not far off the mark!! Mabye the trolls on here should feed this back to our illustrious workshop owner. How we are now the laughing stock of the premier league in other clubs supporters eyes due to years of under investment, buying cheap and selling big as well as the blatant asset stripping!! So yes another Saturday for our world class manager trying to grind out a result with an injury stricken depleted under invested squad the joys!!

    • Clarko

      – Newcastle’s starting eleven cost €67.70m vs Brighton’s starting eleven cost €48.75m (fees for Kayal and Stephens undisclosed)

      – Newcastle’s starting eleven cost €55.50m vs Cardiff’s starting eleven cost €21.44m (fee for Zohore undisclosed)

      – Newcastle’s starting eleven cost €45.40m vs Nottingham Forest’s starting eleven cost €18.73m (fee for Lolley undisclosed)

Our ‘world class manager’ couldn’t ‘grind out’ a win against the teams listed above…

      What blatant asset stripping?

      • GlasgowMag

Welcome back Clarky boy the genius who doesn’t acknowledge the terminology of net spend!! Your still a funny guy!!!

        • Wor Lass

Yep, he`s a real fungi. Like dry rot!

        • Leazes.

Thats Kevin Lee…. the only person with less personality than Michael Portillo and no sense of humour discerned, but that comes from having a family of neanderthals where their idea of fun is polishing the cutlery.

        • Clarko

I acknowledge net spend, we had a -€15.72m net spend in the summer, it’s terrible.

Our ‘world class manager’ couldn’t ‘grind out’ a win against the teams I listed above, teams that cost significantly less than ours. Why won’t you acknowledge that? Why won’t you acknowledge the €142.65m that Benitez has spent on players? Why won’t you acknowledge our terrible performances?

          Oh and it’s *you’re, not ‘your’…

          • Cockneytrev

Why won’t you admit you work for Ashley?
            You hoop licker👅👅👅

          • GlasgowMag

What was Bournemouth’s net spend this season??

          • Clarko

Look at that, you can’t do it.

            😂 😂 😂

          • GlasgowMag

            Yip as I thought dummy!!!😂😂

          • Leazes62

Its ” YOU “, not WE, you sneaky little red & white tinker you

          • Clarko

“I don’t like what he’s saying but I can’t argue with him because he’s right, I know, I’ll call him a Sunderland fan, that will show him”

      • Billmag

        Old fake news Cuckoo.

      • Toon Arnie

        Plank.

  • Billmag

Oh my God a small team on the South Coast of England giving us pelters and rightly so, like Glasgow Mag say’s, to all those troll’s that infiltrate this forum this is how far we’ve sunk under the fat [email protected]@t since he’s taken over our club

  • TheFatController

Is that Watford fan trawling for some friends in life ?

    • Kenny

I was drinking with a couple of Watford lads a few weeks ago on holiday
good guys, one supported Man C and the other Arsenal
      😂😂

      • Carverlier football

Worked with a guy from Watford. He supported… Watford! Good on him…

  • Wor Lass

As I said on another thread, Bournemouth at home was the last game I watched at SJP. It was an awful game only livened up by the booing that Moussa the Great got when he went off. I`m not in favour of booing your own players but he really did deserve it. Lascelles was the only plus point in that game for me. Their fans were great in the Black Bull after the match – very genuine and down to earth which probably explains why it was difficult for Graham to find the usual torrent of banal and insulting comments that we see in this feature.

    • Leazes.

So you drink at the same pub as te troll….. yes and?….. is there something you want to own up to?

      • Wor Lass

Black Bull, Leazes – not Three Bulls Heads. Keep up. I`m sure I could have been rubbing shoulders with Trolls in there but not for the last three years. 1800 miles is a bit much for a post match pint although the Mule probably wouldn`t agree. He probably used to travel thousands of miles in the back of a transit just to watch the reserves playing midweek.

        • Leazes.

Ah… right…. didn’t that place change its name.

1800 miles would put you in Algeria…. bit dry there

          • Wor Lass

The Black Bull? Not that I`m aware of. I`m sure that`s where I used to go to a folk club in the 1970`s – it was in a little room upstairs but now you`ve got me thinking.

          • Kenny

i think he means the trolls in the 3 Bulls

          • Wor Lass

            They`re everywhere!

          • Kenny

3 Bulls Percy St, Black Bull, Stanhope St,/Barrack Rd

          • Wor Lass

            ” … 1800 mile round trip …” You`re a bit distracted today – nervous tension?

    • Kenny

      2-1 Newcastle

      • Wor Lass

Your kid`s gone 3-1, I think. How many own goals will we need to win? What time have you got for Leazes` penalty. I`ll go 16 minutes.

        • Kenny

37 mins the same amount of possession we`ll have

          • Wor Lass

I`m off now. My new technique is not to find out the score and watch MotD. The most exciting thing is to see if we`re last on as usual or can we climb the league? i`ll settle for last on and a jammy win again this week.

          • Kenny

            so would i

      • Leazes.

How much are you down this season?

        • Kenny

          £220

  • Kenny

    Brighton 1 up at Cardiff

    • GlasgowMag

      1-1

      • Kenny

        I`m watching it

        • GlasgowMag

Turned it over [email protected] now watching guns of Navarone!! 😂😂

          • Kenny

            😂 Great film

  • Leicester Mag

Get used to it, get relegated and the Muppets doing the trolling will be those down the road in Sunderland

    • Kenny

      😂

  • WildBill

I hate these articles about what fans are saying. “Probably one of the worst teams in the league”….really going out on a limb there. League one stadium and fan base (about 20 of them) that we can’t complete with. It’s all on FCB. That’s all they should comment on.

  • gallowgate26

Join Wotford on the road of defeat, back to your Division 3 stadium. Mugs…. A brief taste of success and they are drunk..

    • gallowgate26

You’re still only bornmth, STILL ONLY BOURNEMOUTH!!!!!

  • Cockneytrev

“If moaning Geordies is your kind of thing? Give it a go”
So we are moaning and delusional?
Maybe they would rather go to Millwal, for an away game?
