Dennis Wise has been on Sky Sports this (Monday) afternoon.

It is quite unbelievable how the satellite broadcaster reports on Newcastle United and the issues surrounding it.

I can’t think of a single other club where they take a stance so ridiculously in favour of the club’s owner, despite all the evidence pointing in the opposite direction.

Earlier today, Sky Sports reported:

‘Newcastle owner Mike Ashley has challenged anyone wanting to buy the club to show him the money.

Sky Sports News understands that aside from purchasing the club, prospective buyers must also prove they have the funds to take the club forward.

One source told Sky Sports News that until Kenyon makes an offer, it is a case of “a man with no money wanting to buy a football club”.’

It is quite staggering how willing Sky Sports are to do Mike Ashley’s PR job for him, what are they getting out of it? This isn’t a professional neutral approach, instead it is always massively weighted towards Ashley. Reporting it as fact that Mike Ashley has the best interests of the club at heart, rather than challenging the claim that he would only sell to somebody else if they could prove they’d be good owners and ‘take the club forward.’

Then quoting a ‘source’ (Keith Bishop?) that has a cheap joke at the expense of a potential buyer. With which other club would there be this kind of reporting by Sky Sports?

However, the real low point, as usual, is Sky Sports accommodating Dennis Wise for the umpteenth time.

Surely be now they must feel duty bound to put him up as a Mike Ashley spokesman, if they are so keen to give him oxygen, rather than supposedly some kind of free thinking neutral.

Today, he yet again spoke total nonsense as he made it 100% clear he was speaking on behalf of the NUFC owner.

Dennis Wise insisting Mike Ashley ‘will try to do the right thing’ whilst as usual, also having a go at the Newcastle supporters.

It is laughable just how transparent it is that there is an agreed agenda between Sky Sports and Mike Ashley’s people.

They run this line about Mike Ashley only willing to sell to some other lovely caring owner, then they also have Dennis Wise on, saying exactly the same thing.

You would have to be pretty naive to think these are just random coincidences.

Who decides to invite Dennis Wise on and why are he and other Mike Ashley stooges not asked any awkward questions.

Such as how can a manager compete when the owner insists on making a profit on transfers, or how can anybody think Mike Ashley genuinely wants to sell, when the club has been up for sale these past 10 years without anything happening? Also, how about the part Wise played in the Gonzalez/Xisco transfers, and his role in the rotten Ashley regime which was shamed in the Kevin Keegan tribunal decision?

Presenter:

“Dennis Wise worked with Mike Ashley at Newcastle United and gave us his view on the potential sale of the club.”

Dennis Wise:

“If someone comes up with the right amount of money and he’s willing to obviously take it forward on terms that he is happy with, I am sure Mike Ashley will do the correct thing.

“What he is not going to do is allow somebody not to take that football club forward and he takes the blame for it.

“That is what his mindset really is.

“He’s trying his best but unfortunately in Newcastle fans’ eyes, his best is never good enough.

“And it never will be good enough…”

“But I’m sure in the long-term he (Mike Ashley) will try to do the right thing.”

Ashley will always do the correct thing for Ashley

    • Dillon Tovak

Does Wise not understand that Ashley would crush him and pi$$ on his corpse if it meant he’d make 50p.
      Sad little c*#@.

      • panther

        I know

  • panther

yes he is doing his best, but he wont kill NUFC

  • graham18

And Dennis Wise is a little pr*ck as well.FCB OUT!!!

  • Paul Patterson

    The ramblings of an idiot..

    • Dillon Tovak

Why! Why? Why!? On earth would Ashley care about being blamed if he sells to someone that doesn’t “take the club forward”.
      Wise is literally trolling us.

  • Cockneytrev

Unfortunately we have no platform to air our grievances,, IMO we need to hire a PR company to work on behalf of the NUFC supporters, it’s no good just protesting on match days , it needs t be done professionally and with a company who has its own media insiders that will refute all the nonesense and downright lies of Ashleys cronies ,,

    • Sickandtired

Magpie Group should bombard Sky with a right to air our side of the argument!

  • robbersdog

What he is not going to do is allow somebody not to take that football club forward and he takes the blame for it.

I see that irony isn’t Wise’s strong point.

    • Carverlier football

“I won’t allow somebody not to take the club forward – because that’s my job!”

    • Sickandtired

His heels are higher than his intellect…

  • Dillon Tovak

Sky know what they’re doing. They’re taking the pi$$.

  • Big Hairy Man

Anyone would think that there’s a book coming out this week discrediting Ashley and his minions. Why else would Sky wheel out this odious “very small man” to hoop-lick the dark lord?

  • Ashley-out

Do the right thing Mike, DIE

    • JohnnyH

Do the right thing Mike, eat Dennis wise and choke

  • Steven05

People think Ashley only cares about money. I believe he does a lot of what he does simply to p!ss people off (his own customers 😂)

Well he’s been successful with me – I hate him

    • Kenny

It’s not the money, it’s spite

  • Waxi

He has never done the right thing in the last ten years you dwarf so why do you think we are gullible enough to think he will do it in the future. What a twonka that bloke is.

  • Kenny

    Bong eyed littlecunt
    😵😵

    • East Durham Mag

Hate him with a passion mate.

  • Stephen

Dennis Wise oversaw a disaster in the transfer market.
Gonzales and Xisco cost the club and thereby it’s owner millions
So why do they appear to be kissing cousins?

    • Dave Pattinson

I’d guess there must be something in it for Wise. He’s not got much to occupy his time either and a distinct lack of talent to do anything at all since he stopped playing. He’s one of those sad C-list slebs who are desperate to eke out a ‘career’ by taking part in [email protected] reality shows to prove they’re still on the planet. Hanging around with Ashley for him, might mean he still matters. For the rest of us its insulting, esp to see him pontificating on Sky about NUFC. A sad waste of skin.

    • Sickandtired

And his pay off. And Jimenez. And Llambias, Kinnear, Houghton, Carver, McClaren. Fatty has doled out almost as much on them as he has the net spend on the club since he arrived.
      Just think on that.

  • Billmag

Why can’t the journos that know the situation up here put that sniveling little get in his place, and tell the real truth what the fat oaf is doing to this club.

    • Paul Patterson

There’s no sit down chat with a chairman, ever. Otherwise it would be very uncomfortable..

  • Paul Patterson

Ashley has just been given a dressing down on Five Live from Simon Bird and Ian Wright. Keep it up. .

    • Cockneytrev

      What was said?

      • Paul Patterson

Needs to sell the club. He’s done nowt for the community and prospects for the club, failed to back Rafa, doesn’t care, etc..

        • Cockneytrev

          So basically the truth,,,

          • Paul Patterson

Yeah. Little Keegan interview also. Nice to hear that perspective. Other than he’s bailed the club out and we should be thankful 💩

    • FatParosite

It’s about time Simon Bird sold the 13 pieces of silver he got for propagating Ashley lies…..

  • Ba ba.

    Belend

  • Leazes.

I’ve come to the conclusion that he is Ashley’s spokesman because all of the attacks on Rafa have come from people he knows…. the latest being Cascarino…..maybe a bit of freelance work.

Is the dwarf still in contact with the ogre? Sky seem to think so!

    • Kenny

Sky, his minions, the fools at the chron, old Bishop is certainly earning his crust trying to ease the pressure on the Rat.

    • FatParosite

      Evidently he is….

  • Christopher Smeaton

    Where’s the money, Mike?

  • Kenny

Pressure has got him going to games, pressure has made him arrange to meet Rafa & the players over a meal, pressure has got his vermin trying to justify his tenure in the media,
keep up the protests, turn the screw, whoever said he would not react is well wide of the mark.

  • Tweed Mag

So Ashley is worried that he will get the blame if he sells and things go wrong. The arrogant man knows no bounds. Wise drops his master in it yet again.

    • Leazes.

Probably more worried that a genuine bid will materialise.

  • Wezza

Yes because MA sure knows a thing or two about taking the club forward!
    The club isn’t for sale.
All this is a smokescreen to quell the protests and take the focus off Keegans book.
How Ryder can’t see this is beyond me. He may be fooled but we won’t!

  • East Durham Mag

Just been suspended from Twitter for abusing the bong eyed dwarf. #badge of honour 🤣🤣🤣🤣

    • FatParosite

He banned me months ago….. the little kernt….

      • East Durham Mag

It hasn’t been for lack of trying mate.

    • Kenny

My 12 hour suspension ends in 2 hours 😂😂
      Bong eyed little [email protected]

  • X,WHY,Y MAN.

On the face of things it would seem logical enough but we all know Ashley by now and the games he has been playing for over ten years.

  • Sickandtired

“…take it forward on terms that he is happy with”.

There’s the kicker. In real speak that means someone who is going to cut a deal to allow SD to keep the merchandising, and who knows what else he has buried.

Anyone claiming that Ashley gives a hoot about the club, or he demands someone to ‘take it forward’ after his years of purposeful neglect, is farcically idiotic. Sky is obviously part of that as they keep putting this stunted idiot in front of a camera, despite the KK tribunal findings and his utterly hopeless (and dodgy) time at the club.

  • Jonas

Dennis says he’s sure ashley “will do the right thing” – so he’ll sell the club and top himself to boot.

  • Lord

What’s weird is that a well backed and ambitious NUFC would be a real boost for Sky’s TV package; having owners like Ashley around simply devalues it – which neutral would tune in to watch us at the moment? They should be as anti-Ashley as anyone.
