Newcastle fans are now organising in London.

The London Magpie Group establishing themselves this week (see below) and asking people in London/The South to register their details if they are willing to help.

Thursday morning has seen the new group reveal that they have a meeting with Newcastle Central MP Chi Onwurah at the Houses of Parliament later today.

With top of the agenda being how to get Mike Ashley out of Newcastle United and a protest march in London set to be organised.

They also have a meeting set for Tuesday with another Newcastle United supporting MP, Ian Lavery.

The Mag – Wednesday 24 October 2018:

A new protest group has been set up against Mike Ashley.

As things go from bad to worse under this owner, Newcastle fans in London and the south of England are now organising.

As no doubt you already know, there are huge numbers of Toon fans down in the south, especially those who are in exile after moving for work.

Any Newcastle away match in the south east is always well supported by ‘locals’.

Announcing their presence (see below), the London Magpie Group are asking fans to go HERE for more details and to register.

‘A STAND AGAINST ASHLEY

‘We are the London Magpie Group – a newly formed collection of passionate Newcastle United fans based in London and the south of England.

Our aim is to support the club on and off the pitch, and to organise & assist various peaceful protests and demonstrations in collaboration with other NUFC fans groups both in Newcastle & elsewhere to help rid our once-great club of our disinterested and disrespectful owner.

We’re experiencing the culmination of 11 years of neglect and we just cannot sit back and allow this to happen. Enough is enough.

Newcastle United is a huge club with legendary support a rich history of passion both from the supporters and great managers like Kevin Keegan,  Sir Bobby Robson and lately Rafa Benitez.

The fans are spread far and wide with a huge number in the nation’s capital and we exist only to provide an outlet for those fellow exiled fans to show their support for the club that means everything to them.

Alongside other supporter groups, we are united in the cause. We will not stop until Ashley and his associates are gone from our club’

  • Themoscow72

Well the first M.P. knows very little about Newcastle United that was evident from the meeting at the labour club. This group will just be a shower like their counter parts in Newcastle a long haired hippy on a mega phone shouting Ashley out.
A group devoid of ideas and ambition with no strategy. They have a nerve to call themselves the Magpie Group.
In the Summer of 1989 I had a meeting with the original Magpie Group and from day one the strategy was to find rich people to buy the shares and own the club something which did happen. Out of this meeting came a group called United Supporters for Change and while the Magpie Group distanced themselves from them in public there were still meetings in private. Still see the odd one at away games on the train.
The current Magpie Group both in Newcastle and London will do nothing to find a buyer and will only serve to annoy Rafa and the players. For Ashley to go you need a buyer and one with money and we have not got one.

    • David Cresswell

Not only do we not have a buyer, but we don’t even have a seller. The product “allegedly” up for sale, isn’t the same as it was 11 years ago. Try finding any kind of buyer in that scenario, let alone one willing pay over the odds, with strings attached etc etc?

      • Leazes.

We’ve seen the way Ashley is trying to hang on to Rangers merchandise….It makes me wonder what due diligence would actually show was for sale if it were genuine?

        • Carverlier football

          We’ll never know because of non-disclosure agreements…

      • Themoscow72

Partly true as the £300m to buy the club will be the tip of the iceberg as will need another couple of hundred million on top of that to buy players.

        • Toon Arnie

He’s not selling – why can’t you see this ?!!

    • East Durham Mag

Is there anyone ever mentioned in posts on this site that you haven’t met in “a lift”, “a club” or wherever else your truly super fertile imagination can conjour up?

      • Tweed Mag

He just meets them. Nothing ever comes of it, apart from Jackanory stories.

        • East Durham Mag

Just a lying [email protected] mate.

        • Themoscow72

Apart from someone actually buying the club whereas you lot just jump up and down singing Ashley out.

          • Kenny

Moron, go fall down a lift shaft

          • Themoscow72

Thought we were mates three points on Saturday Perez hattrick.

          • Tweed Mag

            One day it will happen.

      • panther

        just reality

      • Billmag

        😀😀😀

      • Themoscow72

There round twenty people at that first meeting and it took place in the Hotspur on a Sunday so wrong again.

    • Big Hairy Man

No point in finding a buyer for something that isn’t for sale. The point of the protests is to make him want to sell. Keep up the pressure and ramp it up even more. He’s definitely rattled.

    • Toon Arnie

Do you honestly believe Ashley is willing to sell ? I think you’ve got that one badly wrong.

  • Leazes.

Ashley couldn’t have done this to the club without Mark Douglas Sports Editor of the Chronicle…. the self proclaimed good friend to each regime!

Its high time that Douglas and Ryder were shown the door by the chronicle!

    • tom

      Agreed.
      They are both a disgrace.

    • Peaky

To be honest the whole Ronnie is a disgrace,I only read it on line but as well as the amateur journalism which is often regurgitated the articles are strewn with poor spellings and punctuation….proof reading obviously doesn’t exist…

      • Carverlier football

I don’t even click on them online. It’s still aggregator revenue for them

  • Steven05

To all those who are trying to do something for their club rather than just rubbish any attempt – thank you

  • Peaky

Ghost,Fleckman,Baby Ben Jones are all quiet at the minute……mind you MadMonk from Moscow is making up for it…..or…….are they one and the same person ???

    • East Durham Mag

I derive no amount of pleasure reading his fiction. 👍

    • Tweed Mag

They are probably helping their leader out elsewhere in the country. He is now very unpopular in Bath and Somerset (dispute with the Council over a HoF store).

    • Wezza

Well most of their usernames got banned and a few have returned. All those are two brothers from Manchester (Sgt Bilko look alikes) I think MadMonk is on the KBA payroll. He certainly isn’t a fan as was proved in my local.

      • Wor Lass

How was it proved in your local?

        • Wezza

He claimed everyone knew him not knowing it was my local and nobody has heard of him. No doubt he had a right laugh seeing someone enquire about a troll in a pub but I proved him wrong. The Mad Monk is a compulsive liar.

          • Themoscow72

He is one of the few you states the correct facts from the Accounts. You have not proved anything as will be in there five o clock tonight.

        • Themoscow72

Will be in there tonight 5.00pm and Wezza is just a fantasist making things up. If he went into the bar and asked anyone or the staff for the Newcastle fan they would point me out.

          • Tweed Mag

Well in that case why do you hide behind a nickname? Put your money where your mouth is.

          • Themoscow72

I do not hide behind a nickname at all and all he has to do is go in the bar and ask for me as the Newcastle supporter.

          • Simon Carr

Did your boycott the Leeds game with united supporters for change??

          • Themoscow72

No was in the Gallowgate Wing next to the West Stand for the Leeds game and the Milburn Paddock for the next game against Oldham and got sacked from that orgainisation.

          • Wezza

He mentioned his monkseatonmagpies name as “that monkseaton chap” He is senile! I’ve been there, asked and nobody knows the guy.

      • Leazes.

Wonder if he’s still bald and ugly?

        • Peaky

          Like Penfold….??? 😂🤣😂

          • Wezza

Yes although I’m sure they hide far more than Charnley does!

        • Wezza

Balder and uglier and still sex starved.

      • Leazes.

Think they are from the Darlington area, but the youngest worked in Wigan.

        • Wezza

          Wigan SD no doubt.

      • Themoscow72

Will buy you a pint anytime in that so called local but you never get in.

      • Carverlier football

Sgt Bilko? I know MA is too corpulent to be Mr Burns but I always imagine monk/moscow to look like Weyland Smithers…

    • Themoscow72

I would presume four different people as the tone of the posts are very different.

  • Realist

🤣get a life man. Where was all the public outrage and marches against networking grooming gangs in our city?! Year’s of cover up to go with it. People’s priorities these days are all wrong just the way the corrupt systems want it to be. I pity the lot of you’s 🐑

    • Tweed Mag

The answer to that is simple – the offenders were dealt with and are now in prison. Ashley is still at large. You need to think twice before bringing issues like that in to a debate about a football club.

      • Wor Lass

        Well said.

      • Realist

I object to politicians debating about football clubs in parliament when there is much bigger and important problems in the UK if you belie d for one minutevtje whole grooming situation has disappeared now well your a fool. Chi is manipulating everyone through nufc.

        • Tweed Mag

Okay. You need to stick to football matters on a football forum. Chi is representing her constituents, at their request. Move on before you dig a bigger hole for yourself.

        • Billmag

Go away it’s a football forum.

        • East Durham Mag

          Object elsewhere then.

        • Wezza

The elder senile Brian Lee makes spelling mistakes and trolls about politics. Just saying.

        • mentalman

nufc supporters will make up a large percentage of her constituency, she can make herself look like she is doing a lot for her constituents when actually doing very little

        • Carverlier football

NUFC has a significant economic impact on this area. The abuse and exploitation of it is absolutely something a local mp should be talking about. Or can she not cover more than one thing? “Can you do something about my hospital closing, the economic deterioration of my neighbourhood and the fact my bins haven’t been collected for two months?” “No, too busy with the grooming thing. Taken it off the police’s hands”

    • Kenny

      F##k off

    • Billmag

Go away it’s a football forum.

    • East Durham Mag

      Back under your bridge f*ckwit

Good luck to the London Magpie Group. It all helps to get the message over.

  • Wezza

Good luck to them – more and more exposure gets the truth out.
    Ashley out!

    • Themoscow72

Wolves tickets on sale Monday 29th make sure you buy yours and support Rafa and the team.

      • Simon Carr

Did you buy a ticket for the Leeds game or did you boycott that game with united supporters for change

        • Themoscow72

Was in the Gallowgate wing next to the west stand for the Leeds match and the Milburn Paddock for the following home game against Oldham if you really want to know.

          • Simon Carr

            LIES

          • Themoscow72

That is why I got sacked and one other bloke whom I shall not name as was seen in the ground and I have a witness.

      • Wezza

        No. Just no.
The FCB that you love and defend will no longer get a penny from me until he clucks off.
See this is why you are called a troll. You simply cannot be happy with the state of this club. It doesn’t even have proper backroom staff. The wage bill is the lowest for years. You even got at Rafa for letting Gayle go but you slip up as it is the FCB that wouldn’t even let Rafa spend the clubs money. So you blame Rafa for that. Talk about an agenda. You’re a sad little troll. 123M TV money gone. The KBA PR lies. The likes of you and the other trolls.
Simply cluck off and take the FCB with you. All you do is spout the clubs PR propaganda. You are so happy “Mike saved the club” – what a total shill you are. You also dislike KK and Shearer and have a weird obsession with Jezza, just like the Lee brothers.

Mike Ashley claimed he only bought the club out of love for the game, not with the intent to make money (12 September 2008):
“Don’t get me wrong. I did not buy Newcastle to make money. I bought Newcastle because I love football.”
“Rafa can have every penny generated”
You stand by those statements do you? You’re a troll and a shill.
        Do one.

Any ideas who the ‘dodgy businessman’ is who has taken an injunction out against The Telegraph ?? MPs want him named apparently….

    • Leazes.

      We could run a Poll

      2.Jiminez
      3. Bishop
      4.Andy Grey
      5. Lee Charnley

It wouldn’t mean a darn thang but that’s what Ryder and Douglas do for kicks.

      • Peaky

        🤣😂

        • Leazes.

Nobody is actually saying it has anything to do with Llambias’s nice little group!

          • Simon Carr

Ask the moscow72 or monk did he boycott the Leeds game with united supporters for change because he Did but ask anyway

      • Peaky

Confirmed in parliament as Philip Green.

Why would Ashley put up a new tacky S*** D**** sign in the Milburn Concourse if he was genuinely selling?

Colours are all wrong for both United and Northumbria…. not for us!

    #BoycottWolves

    • Kenny

No intention of selling, he needs to be driven out

until i figured out the zoom was at 40%

  • Pezza

What do we want Ashley out, What are we going to do….errr make it really unlikely to achieve our aim.

These guys, like the magpie group are frauds.

    • Toon Arnie

So what do you suggest needs to happen to get Ashley out ?

      • Pezza

Well, there is only one way that he will leave, that is to sell the club.

To do this we, fans must help him find a buyer or pool our resources and buy the club from him.

To achieve the latter, we need fans to collectively put their money where their mouth is. Listening to the magpie group’s meeting, it rather sounds that when the (albeit, confused) suggestion of fan investment was made, the response was not in favour. The problem then is that fans are hypocrites.

This means that finding a buyer is the more likely option and I’m afraid the actions of the Magpie Group are more likely to frighten away potential investors/ acquirors.

To be honest, I’m at a loss to understand the logic of the magpie group. I think they are looking for self promotion rather than have any real plan at getting a change of ownership. Whilst they do this, they are not showing the team support due to their selfish self promotion.
