Alan Shearer is once again on the ball when talking about his team.

Newcastle United coming away with a point after a 0-0 draw.

A first-half that was pretty even, although Newcastle just about edged it.

Whilst after the break the Magpies showed next to nothing going forward  and Palace increasingly turned the screw.

A mixture of poor finishing and gutsy disciplined defending produced a clean sheet for Rafa Benitez’ team.

As Alan Shearer admits, it is obvious which game will be the last one on Match of The Day tonight.

However, he adds ‘who cares?’, as his team came away away with a draw.

The Newcastle United legend describes it as a ‘good point’ for NUFC and of course an away draw in the Premier League isn’t to be sniffed at…

At the same time though, Newcastle will need to be far better than this if a relegation struggle is to be avoided.

Alan Shearer:

“I think we know what will be last on Match of The Day tonight!!

“Who cares?

“A good point for Newcastle United.”
