Newcastle United were represented in Bangor on Tuesday night.

Along with scouts from Cardiff City and Manchester City, NUFC had their own people present.

However, the situation was slightly different for NUFC, as unlike the other two Premier League clubs, Newcastle had none of their young players on the pitch.

The game featured Wales Under 21s against their Under 21 opponents from Portugal, the visitors easily winning 2-0.

Clubcall have claimed there are two players Newcastle could have an eye on.

They are 21 year olds Joao Carvalho and Gil Dias.

The pair played for Forest in the League Cup match at the end of last month, Newcastle losing 3-1 with both the Portuguese players impressing – Gil Dias scoring the third goal.

Carvalho played the whole game last night, whilst Dias was a second-half sub.

Forest actually paid £13m for midfielder Carvalho from Benfica this summer, over £3m more than Rafa Benitez was allowed to spend on any player in this last window.

As for winger Gil Dias, he is on loan from Monaco this season with Forest reportedly having the option to make the move permanent at the end of the season.
