I can’t believe how you haven’t picked up on the fact that Saturday was a show of solidarity/force from Mike Ashley and his Newcastle United Gang of Four.

It (Saturday at Palace) was simply a response to those wanting Ashley out.

Short of sticking two fingers up, Mike Ashley and the other three were there trying to demonstrate that the protests mean nothing, that they are more united than ever and determined to stay.

Emotional responses were all that I read about in here and in the press, while no one seemed to read the purpose and intention correctly.

This was as co-ordinated as it was a surprise.

It also shows they take the Magpie group seriously, so we need to ramp up the pressure even more.

I’m amazed that Lee Charnley has been given such an easy ride as he is culpable in all of this and should hang his head in shame.

Maybe find out why Ashley chose Charnley might be a start – that it wasn’t down to talent  is a bit of a clue.

Keep up the pressure.

Sounds like this was why they were there.
They can seem like it doesn’t bother them but we know that it does. Bishops failing PR is now laughable.
Why does this club use PR to fool the media and fans (not anymore) and are we the only “football club” who does this?

    • DavyB

It has to be the worst PR company EVER!!!

  • Yeaaap

Chan got the job cause he is cheap

    • DavyB

      …and a yes man.

  • Cockneytrev

    I thought this immediately,,
the fact they all wore black ties, it was more like they were attending a funeral, this had significance as well,,
Ashley is like a spoilt bully, has to have his little gang with him, they laugh at all his jokes, he has no real friends just hoop lickers who are in fear of him,,
I don’t see him ever attending a match at st James again, as the abuse would be overwhelming.
Even if it doesn’t get him out, all this bad publicity will be making him feel uncomfortable, even if he wouldn’t admit it.
It’s now up to the people in seats of power to bring pressure to bear.
As for the people who allegedly support him, I don’t for one second believe they are Newcastle fans,,

” It’s now up to the people in seats of power to bring pressure to bear. ”
That would be the season ticket holders then! They simply have to boycott a couple of lice T.V games to make the ultimate statement. IMHO a couple of games with an empty stadium would send such a powerful message he would have no other choice but to sell! A complete boycott with the associated publicity would have $*y in a frenzy and let everyone in the world know of our predicament.

    • X,WHY,Y MAN.

Aye, Bunch of clarty hoop lickers !

  • Allan

They were there because they are all wankers

    • Cockneytrev

      Perfectly put,,,

    • Arty Hume

Allan, there are only wankers and liars…..those four are both!

  • Leazes.

Probably right…. they look like a deputation or a war council about to have a meeting to discuss tactics…. gone are the black and white trademark ties note the serious attire….that is for the cameras.

They need journalists to do their work…. who will probably crop up in the next few days with inside information.

We have the first already from the Times Matt Hughes who appears to be someone the hierarchy have used before.

Strange bloke Ashley….he appears to be at war with the fans.

I wish he had sold the club to Sheikh Mansour….. didn’t say why he didn’t.

    • Sickandtired

Allegedly because he was on the lash instead of in the meeting.

      • Jonas

I don’t think the use of ‘alleged’ is required, it was well reported and photographed at the time.

the reason he didn’t sell to Mansour – he doesn’t want to sell the club. Hence why he dicked them around and Amanda and asks way too much. So they bought City – actual willing seller and a fraction of the price for a similar sized club.

  • 8prestondave

Yeah, the protest means nothing to him.!! That’s why he went to an away game but wont come to a home game. Because the protests don’t bother him. Sarcasm….

    • mentalman

nothing to do with it being in london where he lives

      • 8prestondave

Really.?So you spend millions on a football club but cant be assed to travel to see how your money is doing. And you can travel the world in your big yacht but cant fly up in your helicopter ( 1 hour flight) to check on your investment. Somehow I don’t think its got anything to do with where he lives.

  • MadMag83

But doesn’t the mere fact that they have turned up to a game for the first time in 13 months, prove that the protests are getting to them?

If it was a PR exercise in solidarity then it wasn’t a very well thought out one. All it did was provide the press with a mugs gallery, a who’s who of the regime the fans were protesting against. Their presence at the match actually gave the fans a chance to vent their displeasure.

    • Leazes.

      Photo makes them look isolated!

    • X,WHY,Y MAN.

Probably more to do with Bishop receiving info on the grapevine about Jimenez and Keegan’s revelations coming out.

  • Ron

See the two behind, wonder who had farted?

  • MrShack66

    Ham shankers.

  • Return of the Mack

Down on their own manor. Hard men!

  • Tweed Mag

Every PR stunt they try goes wrong.

    • X,WHY,Y MAN.

Like I said above, Don’t know why they bother because they are not very good at it.

  • BigHairyDog

I think only your Ashley supporting cretins like the Demon Barber of Benwell would realise this was a PR stunt, a show of force, all four of them.

  • X,WHY,Y MAN.

No one has given the impression they picked up on what you mentioned because it was blatantly obvious what their appearance there was all about.
That and his pal Bishop telling him that attending more games was a good idea in light of certain revelations that were to soon follow.

Personally, I don’t why they bother with all the subterfuge and other assorted b****x because they ain’t very good at it !

  • Jonas

Yeah if I’d known they were all there I’d have thought something along those lines.

then I’d think about how were going to have to discuss an FC United option. Those of us that don’t want this for the rest of our lives that is.
