Mike Ashley continues at war with both Rafa Benitez and the Newcastle fans.

The Newcastle United owner refusing to allow the manager the transfer funds that are desperately needed.

To add insult to injury, Ashley has also failed to give the go ahead for ongoing essential investment in the Academy, the substandard training facilities, and even St James Park itself.

Newcastle supporters are looking at any way possible to hinder/affect Mike Ashley and there has been some success on social media.

With interference being ran on the official Sports Direct Twitter account, Newcastle fans bombarding it with replies whenever trying to promote any products, it has led to no promotional messages being sent out since 11 days ago.

Likewise, Mike Ashley’s PR agency/partner, ran by Keith Bishop, has been forced to make their Twitter account private, due to Newcastle fans causing them problems. Not exactly a great move/look for a PR agency to have.

Friday morning has seen Mike Ashley trying to promote sales of the three new Newcastle United kits through the official NUFC Twitter account.

In response, Newcastle fans have made clear what they think as they attack the owner’s running of the club…

John:

‘Unfortunately, due to wages, loan repayments and children amortisation costs, I just couldn’t get the deal over the line. Where’s the money gone?’

JDR:

‘I was very tempted to buy the away shirt, it’d be the first one since Ashley took over but you know what, f… him, not spending a penny while Ashley doesn’t spend a penny.’

Alan B:

‘Sorry, wor lass says I have to sell my old shirts before I can buy any new ones!!!’

Peter Shearer:

‘Please, any NUFC fan who cares about the history and importance of our club, do not buy Ashley’s gear!’

Billy Clifford:

‘Hilarious expecting supporters to spend money…..’

Lee Middleton:

‘When Rafa gets the players he needs to take the club forward I’ll start buying shirts again, till then you can just keep them.’

Chris Colwell:

‘Love all 3 but won’t purchase anything from the team shop until Ashley sells up or fully backs Rafa.’

Neil H:

‘Have they got a release clause we can attempt to meet…or how about an out of contract option for free.’

Dunny:

‘Getting mine from Turkey.

Ok, maybe copies, but ad rather them drop to bits for next to nowt than give that f…er any of my hard earned.’

Dan:

‘Dh Gate fakes are the best to buy. Ashley has no interest in them.’

Mark Spence:

‘So inspired to go and buy them. Really can’t wait to celebrate that record signing by getting his name on a shirt.’

CK:

‘Can I pay 2 quid a year for 20 year?’

Johannes Plate:

‘Why should we purchase anything when the money is not reinvested into the squad?’

Gary Bell:

‘Love the shirts. Just can’t get them over the line. Not til fatty’s gone.’

Stephen Miller:

‘Can I loan and buy next year if it’s ok?’

John Naisbitt:

‘I’m “In talks” to purchase these strips but I think I will be priced out of any deal….’

Matthew Norton:

‘I’ll stick with the one I wore in the championship season thanks…seemed to do the trick then, can’t see the point in upgrading.’

Chris:

‘They are also available at start fitness and DW sport. Shop wisely people.’

Matt Tobin:

‘Everybody go buy them from Start Fitness instead so Ashley doesn’t see the money.’

No Name:

‘Ashley will still receive money.

He owns the brand, So he will sell shirt rights.

I won’t buy one as your still lining his pockets

I’ll stick to my retro ones.

Honestly go check it out, I’m just trying to help people to stop lining his pockets.

He earns money via others selling.

Same process as how he earns from Rangers tops.’

Toon Army:

‘I’ll offer half the price.’

  • SuperDesHamilton

I’ll stick to my blue 96-97 retro one

    • Dont stop bobbi fleckman

The denim Adidas one???? There are 3 shirts of ours I hate, The asics blue, the adidas blue and the Umbro yellow away that we were promoted with.

I wasn’t much a fan of the blue Adidas with an orange and white stripe until a lad i played football with Celtic fan got all agitated that it was an orange sash.

      • SuperDesHamilton

That’s the one, don’t wear it in Asia though I almost died of heat stroke wearing it

        • Dont stop bobbi fleckman

I has the Asics b&w in Asia when backpacking. Football shirts of that vintage are not good in hot countries, the skin cant breath, I’m not a bad BO person but nylon stinks.

          • TheFatController

Next week; Boobi Flexkman on the difficulties getting whites white as a sextourist in Riga.

‘Stains just won’t come out’ promises Boobi

          • Dont stop bobbi fleckman

It can be a persistent stain

          • Lhc

😂🤣backpacking! Was this in your gap year when the rest of us were doing real jobs. This explains a lot to me about the mag, time for me to call it a day on here, auf wiedersehen.

          • Dont stop bobbi fleckman

Yep, I did just over 18 months, grew dreadlocks and wore itchy clothes.

I worked in most places I went, modelling, acting, escorting, bar work, banking and dealing.

          • Kev Newcastle England

Pmsl 😂😂😂 In a very sarcastic way

      • Kev Newcastle England

No one gives a toss what tops you dont like

        • Dont stop bobbi fleckman

But you do keV, you do

  • Paul9

I’ve got mine on loan for how long I don’t know just depends on if or when I get caught

  • ghostrider

I’m sure the Asian market will take up any excess shirts…and then some, so you fans that don’t want to buy…it’s your choice. You are certainly not forced.
The dent to Ashley will need a strong microscope to stand out.

    • TheFatController

Codependent. Make your own way in life, rather than loving another man as a substitute.

      Ghostrider? Ashleyrider.

      • ghostrider

Take a leaf out of your own book.

        • TheFatController

How does that work? I don’t worship a fat billionaire with a shockingly public reputation.

I can update you if I ever do though? How’s that for fair?

          • ghostrider

You worship someone else. A Spanish bloke.

    • BanJones

Mike uses his microscope and a mirror for other purposes so it’s not available.

    • Mr wobert

Do they get a big discount?? They make them after all ????

  • Alexw

I would like the retro away strip. Can I get it on loan with an option to buy if we’re higher than 10th next season?

    • Sickandtired

The club will sell you it on interest free credit, spread over 5 years…

  • Sickandtired

RFC get only 7p from every £1 spent on their merchandise. Such is the ‘benefit’ of an Ashley / SD deal.
I doubt we even get that.

    • Ben Jones

I’d imagine we get more and that’s a lot more than we used to get from merchandise, it used to be MINUS pennies for every £1 spent under Shepherd

      • Icky (Heaton)

Lol, you do like to professes Ashley love.

A real shame (Not!) that 99% of people rightfully ignore, probably even without glancing your posts!

Like myself for example, who knows what you’ve posted, I don’t block, but I def will never read.

As it’s like being back at school, and the brown tongue teachers pet kissing almighty (_|_) again, shameful ❤️

        • Ben Jones

Sorry I’ve no idea what you’ve written, I’m sure it’s wonderful though

    • Dont stop bobbi fleckman

      You’ve not read much then,

Rangers now get more as they have paid back the loan Sports Direct lent them to pay their IR bills which kept them afloat.

Rangers said their new deal was much better and second only to NUFC’s deal.

What so rt of profit do you think we made on mechanise in 2007 (pre Ashley)
, I can tell yo that 7p in the £ would have been fantastic in comparison.

      • TheFatController

Well, show us the comparison then, muppet.

Don’t go presuming and assuming, that’d make you look a lazy idiot.

        • Ben Jones

7% net profit on trading without having to do anything for it is a decent return, Aston villa had to close their city centre club shops as they were losing over 1m a year, THAT model isn’t viable

        • Dont stop bobbi fleckman

The comparison was that we lost money in 2007 on merchandise.

          • TheFatController

Give me the figures and their sources. Otherwise it’s fake news.

          • Dont stop bobbi fleckman

Search Bruce Shepherd Newcastle merchandise. I can’t put the links on here but the Independent and Guardian (I know) has the story.

  • Paul Patterson

  • Toon

Says Jackie, sat in her new shirt and drinking from her SD mug

  • Hughie_Gallacher

I promise to invest 10% of Newcastle’s net spend in the transfer market under Rafa on SD tat, provided the same thing applies in reverse.
I am currently owed £4.1 million.

  • Ba ba.

    Coolkits4less…. 👍
    Great quality

  • Stewart Yatesy Yates

I’d buy one but only if it’s in bargain bin

    • FatParosite

      He still gets the money… DON’T DO IT…… They are $hitty POOMA…

  • Wezza

Some of these comments are amusing!
Ashley can’t PR his way out of this one. It is full on war now.
I for one have not bought a shirt since before he took over nor will I buy one either.

I could say every penny will go on a new shirt.

    • Icky (Heaton)

      Agree.

Classic, varying from witty to some distinctly intuitive, bordering genius comments.

A hilarious read at times, makes you proud to be a Geordie; to the extent they’ve found so many multiple avenues to show and vent their displeasure! 😁

      Keep up the fab work.

O abhorrent one; I prey you’re days are up 😡

  • paul mclaughlan

Peter Shearer is a proper Byker lad. Alan’s uncle but he ain’t no Sherear.

  • BanJones

These shirts are such high quality and the workers conditions who make them are so good, we should all buy two sets for times when one needs a wash.

    • Ben Jones

A wash? Do they let the workers out? I only buy free range

  • Hughie_Gallacher

Have a look at Trustpilot as well. S***e Direct getting an utter hammering.

    • Ben Jones

Yup ‘future owners be warned’ they’re really cleaver

  • Mr wobert

To tell you the truth I would be embarrassed to say hey I bought a new nufc top from sports Direct , hit the oxygen thief in his pocket .save the cash buy the kids something instead.

  • Scott Robinson

He’d sell a lot of shirts if he bought some decent names to put on the back of them. Must be going senile as a businessman. He bought NUFC ‘cos at the time we were No 1 supporters of Sports Direct clobber, followed by Glasgow and Liverpool, so thought he was on a winner. Liverpool had a massive escape. Imagine ‘Ashley’s Anfield’!

  • Scott Robinson

If we win the Champions League under Ashley I vow to enter his shop and purchase one pair of Donnay purple socks at market value, but I won’t promise to wear them. So there you go Mr Ashley, as you say are here until we win a trophy, well we won’t be buying your clobber until we do!

  • Andy Mac

Once again I ask the question where does the Puma kit sponsor money go each season ? Even Leicester get a mill from the Kraut’s every year while the Gooners get loads of cash but we don’t see any of it ? Maybe the people at Shlte Direct could help explain ?
