Mike Ashley promotes sales of 3 new Newcastle United kits on social media – Interesting replies from fans!

Mike Ashley continues at war with both Rafa Benitez and the Newcastle fans.

The Newcastle United owner refusing to allow the manager the transfer funds that are desperately needed.

To add insult to injury, Ashley has also failed to give the go ahead for ongoing essential investment in the Academy, the substandard training facilities, and even St James Park itself.

Newcastle supporters are looking at any way possible to hinder/affect Mike Ashley and there has been some success on social media.

With interference being ran on the official Sports Direct Twitter account, Newcastle fans bombarding it with replies whenever trying to promote any products, it has led to no promotional messages being sent out since 11 days ago.

Likewise, Mike Ashley’s PR agency/partner, ran by Keith Bishop, has been forced to make their Twitter account private, due to Newcastle fans causing them problems. Not exactly a great move/look for a PR agency to have.

Friday morning has seen Mike Ashley trying to promote sales of the three new Newcastle United kits through the official NUFC Twitter account.

In response, Newcastle fans have made clear what they think as they attack the owner’s running of the club…

John:

‘Unfortunately, due to wages, loan repayments and children amortisation costs, I just couldn’t get the deal over the line. Where’s the money gone?’

JDR:

‘I was very tempted to buy the away shirt, it’d be the first one since Ashley took over but you know what, f… him, not spending a penny while Ashley doesn’t spend a penny.’

Alan B:

‘Sorry, wor lass says I have to sell my old shirts before I can buy any new ones!!!’

Peter Shearer:

‘Please, any NUFC fan who cares about the history and importance of our club, do not buy Ashley’s gear!’

Billy Clifford:

‘Hilarious expecting supporters to spend money…..’

Lee Middleton:

‘When Rafa gets the players he needs to take the club forward I’ll start buying shirts again, till then you can just keep them.’

Chris Colwell:

‘Love all 3 but won’t purchase anything from the team shop until Ashley sells up or fully backs Rafa.’

Neil H:

‘Have they got a release clause we can attempt to meet…or how about an out of contract option for free.’

Dunny:

‘Getting mine from Turkey.

Ok, maybe copies, but ad rather them drop to bits for next to nowt than give that f…er any of my hard earned.’

Dan:

‘Dh Gate fakes are the best to buy. Ashley has no interest in them.’

Mark Spence:

‘So inspired to go and buy them. Really can’t wait to celebrate that record signing by getting his name on a shirt.’

CK:

‘Can I pay 2 quid a year for 20 year?’

Johannes Plate:

‘Why should we purchase anything when the money is not reinvested into the squad?’

Gary Bell:

‘Love the shirts. Just can’t get them over the line. Not til fatty’s gone.’

Stephen Miller:

‘Can I loan and buy next year if it’s ok?’

John Naisbitt:

‘I’m “In talks” to purchase these strips but I think I will be priced out of any deal….’

Matthew Norton:

‘I’ll stick with the one I wore in the championship season thanks…seemed to do the trick then, can’t see the point in upgrading.’

Chris:

‘They are also available at start fitness and DW sport. Shop wisely people.’

Matt Tobin:

‘Everybody go buy them from Start Fitness instead so Ashley doesn’t see the money.’

No Name:

‘Ashley will still receive money.

He owns the brand, So he will sell shirt rights.

I won’t buy one as your still lining his pockets

I’ll stick to my retro ones.

Honestly go check it out, I’m just trying to help people to stop lining his pockets.

He earns money via others selling.

Same process as how he earns from Rangers tops.’

Toon Army:

‘I’ll offer half the price.’
