Sky Sports have released details of all Premier League players retained or released by their clubs.
All 20 clubs are covered, including Newcastle United.
The release of these lists follows the passing of 30 June, which is the date when almost all Premier League contacts run to.
So any players set to see their contracts run out by that date, will now be free agents if their clubs didn’t agree an extension by Saturday just gone.
Whilst of course a number of these 43/44 contracted players are younger ones at the development stage, the list does highlight just how many unwanted ones do need to be moved on – the likes of Sels, Saivet, Colback, Mbemba, Aarons and others.
