Maybe worst transfer story so far…’NEWCASTLE UNITED STUNNING MOVE FOR ENGLAND WORLD CUP STAR’
Newcastle United fans are no strangers to feeble transfer stories.
Most are based on nothing/next to nothing and usually you get the feeling it is a case of speculating about what has already been said elsewhere, or simply inventing links to players.
However, some NUFC transfer stories go the extra mile.
Sunday has seen one of the best (worst), a Newcastle United transfer that can’t even happen this summer.
With a big headline though, it is probably the most read NUFC story online today.
Maybe the fact that the headline was all in capital letters should have been a big clue…’NEWCASTLE UNITED STUNNING MOVE FOR ENGLAND WORLD CUP STAR.’
The story (see below) is from “Kick Off” website and says Newcastle could be about to sign Ruben Loftus-Cheek on a year-long loan deal.
The only problem with this ‘STUNNING MOVE’ is that Ruben Loftus-Cheek is a Chelsea player and Kenedy is also a Chelsea player.
The Brazilian already at Newcastle on loan for the coming season and you aren’t allowed to loan more than one player from another Premier League club at the same time.
Good to see at least outsiders still think it is worthwhile making up Newcastle United transfer stories…
‘NEWCASTLE UNITED STUNNING MOVE FOR ENGLAND WORLD CUP STAR
It has been a pretty quiet summer so far on the transfer front for Newcastle…
Rafael Benitez has proven that he is more than capable of getting the best out of the players at his disposal, but the Spaniard could surely do with one or two additions if he is to build upon his side’s surprise top-ten finish from 2017/18.
Step forward Ruben Loftus-Cheek if recent media reports are to be believed, with the midfielder who impressed for England at the recent World Cup being linked with a season-long loan move to the North East.
A powerful presence in the engine room, the 22-year-old’s arrival could see Isaac Hayden following Mikel Merino out of St. James’ Park
Crystal Palace performed better across the board when Loftus-Cheek was involved for them in 2017/18, and that experience of regular Premier League football should be of benefit to the Magpies if they can get this deal over the line.’
