Aleksandar Mitrovic has flown back to the UK from Newcastle’s pre-season trip to Portugal.

Only minutes before the friendly against Porto, Sky Sports have broken the news that Newcastle United have accepted a Fulham bid for the striker.

A deal was expected to be concluded straight after the World Cup but things have dragged on.

Both Fulham fans (see below) and Newcastle supporters anxious the deal would end up not happening.

Fulham because they want the forward to continue his Championship form, whilst Newcastle supporters want Rafa to get the funds to buy a striker that he does want to play.

No news as yet on what the agreed fee is.

The Mag – 26 July 2018:

Aleksandar Mitrovic is still in limbo.

Despite much speculation and claims of yet more ongoing talks, he remains a Newcastle United player.

Most Fulham fans thought it was a foregone conclusion that he would be signing after the World Cup but over four weeks after Aleksandar Mitrovic exited this summer’s tournament, still nothing agreed.

Not surprisingly, the Fulham fans are getting a bit anxious with only two weeks to go until deadline day.

The London Evening Standard reported today that Mitro has now agreed personal terms with Fulham and all that is waited for is the two clubs agreeing a price.

With Fulham reported to be only willing to pay £16m and Newcastle holding out for more (between £18m and £20m depending on what you read), interesting to see what fans of the West London club are saying.

The odd one is saying let Newcastle sweat but the vast majority, as you can read below, are wanting their club to just get the asking price paid ASAP.

Comments from Fulham fans via their top FulhamWeb message board:

‘We must stop squabbling over Mitrovic money and sign him!!!

Schurrie is a good player, but he isn’t a striker to guarantee us 25 goals. He could score up to 15 going from his stats.

That is why Mitrovic is so important to us. Mitrovic will get his goals from set-pieces and corners, and he will do the donkey work and occupy 2 defenders, and that will enable or wingers to do their running etc.

With Mitro in the team, it is possible that Sessegnon and Schurrie will hit 15 goals plus.

Mitrovic is key to our final jigsaw, and we just need to sign him whatever. Benitez knows how dangerous Mitrovic is, and he will not have forgotten Newcastle’s defeat to Fulham without Mitrovic.

We must go Cap in hand with a 20 million cheque to Newcastle, and sign Mitrovic. Everything will fall into place then, and we can get on with our season.’

‘If the money we are talking about is a discrepancy of 4 million at most? 16-20? We shouldn’t need to hold out for the best deal.

Saving 50p and collecting points on a Tesco club card is a different ballgame. We have some, not all the play-off funds available to us. It would be a shame if we lose Mitrovic for the sake of saving a few million quid. I am positive that most Fulham fans would be fuming if we lose Mitrovic because of this.’

‘I cannot believe that we are haggling over paying £18mln for Aleksandar Mitrovic, someone that has proven himself at Fulham, loves playing for us and will be necessary to increase our fire power. Please get this resolved asap.’

‘Have to agree. We need a settle team by the start of the season.’

‘We don’t know what’s been said or agreed. maybe there’s a point of principle Fulham want to make.

Remember, Newcastle would probably have sold Mitro for £12m only 6months ago.

Also, was there some gentleman agreement on what Fulham would pay should we want to buy him.

Also, given we are buying players in the 20-30m bracket, maybe we are really looking for someone even better than Mitro – maybe Mitro wants a guarantee no.1 status. etc etc.’

‘Newcastle need a replacement which is going to cost 20 million, Ashley hates putting his hand in his pocket.’

‘Mitro is worth every penny of the £20m so for gods sake pay the money and lets get him prepared properly for the new season as we can’t afford to have a bad start like last season.’

‘We should get a big discount for making him into a £20m player, after all Newcastle paid £13m for him and he has been a failure for them, so much so they loaned him out to us a Championship team last January .

FFC should play hard ball with Ashley or go for someone else but please not Gayle.’

‘I believe NUFC are jetting off to Portugal today. They need to make a call if they take Mitro with them or not. If they do, I suspect the deal will not happen and we will go elsewhere. if they leave Mitro behind, means they will want to do a deal with Fulham.

The other scenario is if Mitro refuses to travel…while I think professionally it would be wrong for Mitro to do that, but it would be interesting!’

‘Earlier in the year Mitro was valued around 12 mil. Then he started scoring for fun, did sort of OK at the world cup and suddenly, because we “need” him he’s worth 20!

There are other needs in play here, Benitez needs money before he can buy and everyone knows he doesn’t want Mitro. So, wait patiently, let them sweat, turn up the heat.’

  • Paul Patterson

That’ll pay for Muto and give the owner a nice £8-10m profit.

    • Wezza

      Ditto, beat me to it!

    • Dave Pattinson

…and here’s me thinking we’d be making a massive marquee signing with the proceeds!

      • Phildene

        Dream on!

      • Jezza

The only massive marquee likely to be purchased with the money will be one for Fatso to clothe his belly in.

      • TheFatController

Ashley won’t do that as it’d look like the pressure groups got to him.

That and he just never intended to spend on a marquee signing, which is the 100% reason there won’t be one…

        • Wezza

I think getting Muto and Schar were just appeasement buys using profit anyway brought about this the #ifrafagoeswego. If there wasnt pressure I’m sure nothing else would have been spent.
Since Mitrovic money will be installments that’s our lot. If Lascelles goes we won’t have time for a replacement and MA will pocket the £40M along with the £126M tv money. Staggering greed.

          • Ben Jones

Right…so who’s paying the players wages as if he’s taking 166m out of Newcastle (by a method that non of you can describe) that is 80%+ of the clubs turnover. You’re talking rubbish again

    • Billmag

Paul you’ve gone from being a positive person and joined some of the doom and gloom merchants on here.

      • I Think Therefore I Am, Will

Could be that 11, nearly 12 years of history really actually sets in with some individuals, we’re a soulless unambitious SD promoting merry-go-round, and around, and around club… 😭

      • Paul Patterson

Just being realistic based on recent history. I could fake some optimism if you like . .

        • Billmag

It’s hard to be possitive mate but you are young i think, and will probably see an end of this nightmare, but I’m at the wrong end of the age scale god knows how long he will own our club.

          • Paul Patterson

I’m thinking we will have a net spend of £15m in this window, if we’re lucky. 10 days left . .

          • Billmag

Fingers crossed mate I hope it’s more.

    • Ram Kishore

Let’s wait until the window ends Paul..
We still have 13 days and the players Rafa wanted to be sold are moving out for good money.
We will do some business by the end of the window. Won’t be big money ones though I suspect

  • Jonathan Gibson

Useless carthorse, that is daylight robbery, £20million for mitro.
Now go get josh king for £30m and well have a very pacey new forward line. No way are we not getting a £20m + striker now, ill eat my hat if a new proper striker doesnt come in

    • KRS1

I hope you aren’t fond of your hat! Hope you are right but history says otherwise

      • Jonathan Gibson

I understand all the negatives, i was down at hull last week and lack of striker was so blatant.. just a gut feeling a record signing is coming, weve shifted a lot of deadwood and brought in 4 fully fledged international footballers spending next to nowt, thats just simple good buisness.
king or abraham would be very welcome, must have pace. (No rondon thanks)

        • I Think Therefore I Am, Will

          LOL…

      • Jezza

He’s a troll, marra. Yet another of the Fleckman/Clarko brothers’ numerous ID’s.

        • KRS1

Jesus Christ, they are a bunch of mad schizophrenic lunatics!

    • Superdooperhooper

Bon appetite ! Or should that be bonnet appetite ?

    • Phildene

Don’t forget the club WON’T get all the money in one go! so don’t get too excited about it lol You may not have to eat your hat Jonathan, but think a striker won’t be quite of the calibre you’re expecting.

      • Polarboy

If we were a club that actually wanted to spend money the structured repayments could be factored into our own purchases.

      • Jonathan Gibson

        Heres hoping….

    • Big Hairy Man

Start marinating your hat and put the oven on.

    • I Think Therefore I Am, Will

Sadly, it was NEVER going to happen anyways!

  • Polarboy

20 million according to Sky Sports. As depressing as it is that we have to sell to buy, at least we should bring a few more bodies in now. If I was being totally delusional I’d hope we bring in at least one more special player in. A number ten maybe to compliment what will probably be Rondon up front. Loftus Cheek could be a shout, but we could also likely get more for less from abroad. Then again it’s always good to have players who already have premier experience.

    • Paul Patterson

I think you’ll find his sale will offset Muto, nothing more . .

      • Polarboy

We’re already 2.5 million in the black from sales this window. Not that I doubt it would cross Ashley’s mind, but it’s not really offsetting anything if you’re already ahead.

        • Burt Humperdink

are we? How do you know that? have we had an official figure for Mbemba? certainly we have £10.5 for Merino, nowt for Colback and about £4m for Sels. We paid a £5m loan fee for Kenedy don’t forget and signing on fee for Ki.

          • Polarboy

It was worked out on another site. Granted I haven’t gone through the numbers myself to see if it’s accurate. Transfermarkt have Mbemba’s fee down as 7.2 million.

          • TheFatController

Calculating our transfer spend won’t keep you up burning the midnight oil, have no fear …!

          • TheNutJob

            😂😂😂😂

          • Burt Humperdink

seems reasonable to be fair for chancel.

          • TheFatController

yeah, our spend has been of dizzying proportions, when you consider the hidden spend not reported …

          • I Think Therefore I Am, Will

Oh, and you have to take fully into consideration that the Premiership is a very poor league, penny pinching everywhere, hence why even the promoted clubs have not spent so much! 😱

Omg, Odious ones PR sure does work great on a good number!! Sad really 😥

          • Ram Kishore

Was the kennedy loan fee revealed ?
No way Kennedy’s loan fee is 5 million.

          • Ram Kishore

5 million pound fee for kennedy wasn’t revealed anywhere and signing on fee for Ki, no idea unless the club reveal or there maybe no signing on fee at all..He wasn’t the most demanded player or anything..U r only speculating.
Let’s not break a sweat on something we have no idea off
and let’s just wait until the window ends

      • Billmag

I think you are wrong this time mate and Im ever the optimist.

      • Jezza

        100% spot on.

    • Burt Humperdink

Christ as if If Ruben would join us and not cost £30m+ in this market. I have to admit I cannot think of a number 10 we could get that I would want overly.

Strikers yes Origi, Dembele, maybe Austin as a cheaper option. Sadly it does like like it is Rondon. To be fair he’ll be useful and Rafa genuinely seems to want him but it is hard to be excited.

      • Polarboy

I didn’t say he would, I said if I was being delusional this is the player I’d want us to spend serious money on.

      • Danimal

I’d be happy with Rondon, an experienced PL striker. Still far from happy with the big picture.

        • Burt Humperdink

Yeah I suppose if he can get around 9 goals on his own maybe Rafa could get him into the double figures which in the modern game is not bad.

    • Phildene

Think we’ll be lucky to get a few million off Ashley as it’ll come in in dregs and Ashley will keep most of what does come in for himself. I’m just glad for Mitro as he’s really enjoyed playing there-plus their fans love him to bits, like we do.
      Good Luck Mitro

      • Wezza

Yep good luck to him, we have no ambition anyway.

    • Jezza

Rafa’s share of the Mitrovic money has already been spent on Muto. There will no more transfer funds now unless another player is sold.

      • TheNutJob

        👍.

      • Wezza

Yep and the transfer is probably in instalments as well. I think MA does installments so they are lost in the accounts while it goes in his back pocket.
Quite a profit for him and massive negative net spend yet again. The 126M tv money has also gone as well. What a disgraceful owner!

  • Pc07

You just know he’s going to score a winner against Newcastle too this year.
Fulham though building a good squad showing ambition.

  • Rob

Good luck Mitrovic just please don’t score against us!

That puts Mike back in profit over the summer. Pathetic.

    • Polarboy

Already was by 2.5 million according to another site. So that’s 22.5 million in the black for this window alone.

      • TheNutJob

        £3.5m coming in for Sels

    • Danimal

Final game of the season isn’t it? Has disaster written all over it.

    • Ben Jones

Get him I Think Therefore I Am, Will, he said the ‘M’ word…

  • TheNutJob

I wish Mitro all the luck in the World but don`t hold your breath expecting Rafa to get the dosh. it`s not going to happen

    • Billmag

Well fatty might just surprise you after 11 long years of broken promises.

      • TheNutJob

        no he won`t

  • TheNutJob

watching the lads it`s in Portuguese though

  • TheNutJob

40 mins in, 0-0. guess what we need

    • Billmag

      A good number 10.??

      • TheNutJob

        a number 9

        • Billmag

I’m watching the game no chance’s created for the striker’s.

          • TheNutJob

I`m watching the game as well on sport tv 1
the strikers we have couldn`t hit a barn door

          • Billmag

Has he had a chance, Dub’s just made 3 fantastic saves.

          • Billmag

How it’s still 0-0 I’ll never know, FFS I’ve lost the picture.

  • Leicester Mag

Is Mitro a top class striker maybe not. Is £20M a good fee? Maybe maybe not time will tell. Will we reinvest in a world class striker Norfolk and Chance. The Chronics pre match headline of Hos to lead the line say it all about this club

  • Mrkgw

Shambolic decision. Made worse, should Rafa then decide to leave. Fulham have the better deal here and our supporters are the ones who stand to lose. All in my opinion, of course. Gutted.

    • Billmag

Look forward to having a debate at the end of the season.

      • Mrkgw

Yes, and I sincerely do hope that I’m proved to be wrong. I will gladly hold up my hands and say, fair kop. But, I fear that Rafa will regret his decision on this one. I really do.

        • Billmag

And I will do likewise if it goes the other way.

          • Mrkgw

Fingers crossed for you Billmag. In all honesty, I don’t want to see him banging in the goals for Fulham.

          • Billmag

It would hurt if it was against us.

          • Mrkgw

Absolutely. And he will no doubt run to Rafa kissing the Fulham badge. That would be typical.

      • Mike Adam

        That sounds like fun

  • Billmag

People should wait till the end of the transfer window then give it large if the money for Mitro is not spent, until then stay calm and just relax.

    • Megatron1505

11 years has taught you nothing

      • MichaelMaximusMoose

11 yrs of the Pig hasn`t taught me to have the lowest possible expectations & i`m never disappointed

Post on the Chron in regards to Mitro going

The Planks gone, Long live the Plank (Muto)

    • Mrkgw

We need the Hos to go. Along with Gayle.

      • MichaelMaximusMoose

I`ve said it a dozen times, all the strikers should be sold & start from scratch

        • Mrkgw

I’m with you there, now that Mitro is gone.

          • MichaelMaximusMoose

there will be no multi millions spent on another striker

          • Mrkgw

Ansolutely not. And that’s all the more reason why we needed to keep Mitro. At premiership level he was better than Gayle and yet, Rafa gave the latter the nod.

          • MichaelMaximusMoose

He was never ever going to play him & that remains a mystery

          • Ram Kishore

For the style of football we play the chances to the forward is limited…
Dwight isn’t great,so is Hoss. Both missed sitters but not many sitters were created though, so unless we create many chances, any striker would struggle to score goals. we didn’t create enough as we did in the championship..

  • Vodkamagpie

Most fans declared mitrovic as useless, slow, can’t finish, waste of money signing, typical Ashley buying unproven strikers from foreign leagues etc. The positives from this transfer is, we made a profit on this player that would not have played a game under rafa. We have opened up a slot in the squad for a potential new striker , who might actually play games and score goals. Selling mitrovic isn’t Ashleys fault, not everything involving Newcastle’s transfer policy is Ashleys fault.

    • Megatron1505

So, not everything involving Newcastle’s transfer policy is the fault of the guy who releases (or more likely not) the money. Ok 👌

      • Vodkamagpie

Yes, rafa, our manager, doesn’t want to play Mitrovic, who is valued at 20mil. Fans demand Newcastle sign a striker worth 20mil, which technically we had, but wasn’t used. How is this Ashleys fault.

        • Soldier

just how many handles have you got ?

          • Wezza

About 30 between them maybe more apparently. Utterly sad and pathetic. They really hold it against us for the 5-0. I don’t get why they don’t troll Man City forums but I’m guessing they already do!

          • Soldier

i agree, a budgie has a higher IQ, as you say sad

          • Ben Jones

So what is it you believe they are achieving here? Let’s be fair non of you are important but you seem to think you are, or at least enough for a family from Manchester to spend their time ‘winding you up’, to what end? The 5-0 was 22 years ago man, what are they achieving here?

        • Megatron1505

Because obviously the price of the player is the only consideration. Have you ever seen this game we call “football” ?

          • MichaelMaximusMoose

Rafa isn`t his manager, Jose is

          • Ben Jones

Remember that when you whine about not breaking the transfer record

          • TheLeeFamilyArePaedos

Oh look another little Ashley loving scroat.

        • TheLeeFamilyArePaedos

Because the manager has a right to say who is good enough for the team and the tactics he chooses, so if that 20 million striker isn’t right for the team he should be allowed to buy another 20 million striker and considering the money the club gets he should be able to buy the new 20 million striker before selling the current one.

          • Vodkamagpie

You would have to sell the 20mil striker before you buy a 20mil striker.

          • TheLeeFamilyArePaedos

No other club in the EPL is having to sell before they buy, no reason why we should have to.

          • Vodkamagpie

Seems like that’s how Ashley has decided to run the club, there are to many players in the squad currently, deadwood still has to be sold

    • MichaelMaximusMoose

He didn`t fit into Rafa`s system, it doesn`t make him a bad player i think he`ll do ok at Fulham

      • Scottie Chugger Dearden

He’ll do o.k but he’s going to find it a lot tougher just as Dwight Gayle did, I could never understand why Rafa wouldn’t play him, surely he had to be better than Joselu?

        • MichaelMaximusMoose

he`s way better than the Hoss

      • Tony English

That is exactly the point. Our team is set up for a pacey forward that stretches the play..not a slow target man. Good luck to him in 36 fixtures next season….I bet the fee is ‘undisclosed.

          what`s your point

          • Clarko

That we sold Mitrovic for £22m in a deal that could potentially rise to £27m with add-ons.

            Can you not read?

          • ClarkoIsADummy

And Rafa won’t get more than 5 million of it this season, you Dummy.

          • Ben Jones

Pfft people like ‘clarko’ coming in here stating the facts and figures of the sale of our striker ‘thinking it’s important’

Let’s get him lads, we don’t need facts about NUFC in here

          • BenJonesBellEnd

Fact is Rafa won’t get more than 5 million of it this season, bell end.

          • Ben Jones

Why? Staged payments over 4 years? Good news is we have Staged payments this season from previous sales to make up the balance PLUS we’ve ditched the buying players outright policy .

          • EveryoneBlockBenJones

Proof we have started buying players in installments? If that was the case why are we only buying a 9.5 million striker and are having to sell players? Bell end

          • Ben Jones

Eh? Anyone who’s anyone knows that 75% of our fanbase are accountants, you must be part of the 25% who have no interest in accounts, not sure there’s a name for them people but I’d imagine it’s not nice.

It’s all in the accounts bud, we owe clubs money for players, I thought all true nufc fans already knew this

          • MichaelMaximusMoose

i`ve enough problems without trying to figure out the schitt you post.
            Moron

          • Clarko

You’ve just admitted that you can’t read dummy.

            😂😂😂

          • ClarkoIsADummy

            No he didn’t, dummy.

          • MichaelMaximusMoose

I block the many Trolls on here because they post with intent,
i don`t block you because you`re a Basket case & unaccountable for your manic actions, 10/4
            over and out, i`m off
            Thank God

          • Clarko

            You can’t even read.

          • MichaelMaximusMoose

            Beam me up Scotty
            woooosh i`m gone

          • Clarko

Yeah, you keep saying that you’re going but you keep replying…

          • Desree

How do you expect him to read this message then Clarko? Dummy

          • Clarko

‘Block him use what little brains you have’

I don’t block people, that button is for the ignorant, the weak and the delusional.

          • KRS1

You seem full of it tonight, have you won a game of Dungeon and Dragons or something?

          • glassjawsh-got-banned

I’d take a weeks worth of D&D over 5 minutes of listening to Clarko arguing into the wind..

          • Toon Barmy

Obviously you don’t use that button, because if you blocked everyone who disagreed with you, you would have nobody to troll.

    • ClarkoIsADummy

And Rafa won’t get more than 5 million of it this season, Dummy.

      • Clarko

Hey look at that, I got a new fan, one that can’t read, fantastic.

        • TheLeeFamilyArePaedos

The club takes in fees for players sold in installments therefore the other person is right, Rafa won’t get more than 5 million of the total fee to spend this season.

          • Clarko

Someone else (probably the same person) who can’t read.

Where did I say anything about how much Benitez would get? Where did I say anything about instalments? Quote me.

          • TheLeeFamilyArePaedos

I never said you did, but you came on here giving it the big I am thinking the total fee we were getting was some amazing bit of news when clearly it’s not, dummy.

          • Clarko

Where did I say that the ‘total fee we were getting was some amazing bit of news’? Quote me.

            You can’t read.

          • TheLeeFamilyArePaedos

I never said you said that did I, I said ‘thinking’, you’re the one who can’t read, Dummy.

          • Clarko

Those were your “thoughts” not mine, I never said anything of the sort which is why you can’t quote me, dummy.

            👋

          • TheLeeFamilyArePaedos

I don’t need to quote you to know what you were implying, Dummy

          • ClarkoIsADummy

            Dummy!

          • BenJonesBellEnd

            Dummy.

          • EveryoneBlockBenJones

            Dummy 😄

          • glassjawsh-got-banned

            you’re exhausting

          • ClarkoIsADummy

            Dummy 😄

          • BenJonesBellEnd

            Dummy

          • EveryoneBlockBenJones

            Dummy!

          • HarryHype59

He thought the Sissoko fee was paid up front and had a hissy fit when I showed him the London Evening Standard story that clearly showed it was paid over five years. The bloke is a WUM. Best to block him.

  • MichaelMaximusMoose

watched the full 90 mins of the match, it`s only a pre season friendly but that squad are going to have major problems this coming season, no wonder Rafa has been complaining

    • Dillon Tovak

We were under the kosh for the whole game and Dubravka was MOTM. The only positive, Leazes’ll love me for that, is Porto are Portuguese champions and we didn’t lose.

Smurf and Hos were pretty [email protected], Perez invisible, Diame didn’t look at the races. But it was a friendly.
Hopefully we’ll be able to show more against spurs??

If you couldn’t tell, I’m on some kind of high from watching our beloved team after two months. Feeling weirdly positive.

But it does go to show, as much as I rip my hair out over Ashley, I still do love these players if they give 100%.

      • Billmag

I lost the picture after about 75min Dub defo MOTM, nothing going forward but defensively we did ok.

        • Dillon Tovak

Darlow actually made save of the match after you lost your link, but big mart did the hard work. Many a top save.

      • Foggy

Didn’t see the game but people have been banging on about Perez in the last third of the season as if he was Maradona. He was rubbish for the first two thirds of the season. Although this was only a friendly, the big question is which Perez will show up or rather not show up. Same is true for Diame. If the Japanese lad can play as a 10, he might be a better option. I hope Perez and Diame can produce the goods.

      • Kneebotherm8

As you say…..the only player that stood out was…..Dubravka…….

  • MichaelMaximusMoose

Night, night lads, leave the Trolls to Troll each other

    • KRS1

Its like Halloween has come early with all those freaks out

      • MichaelMaximusMoose

        To true, I`m off, enjoy

  • Pc07

Wow!! £22m rising to £27m. Wonder how much will be reinvested

    • MichaelMaximusMoose

      Ask Clarko, he knows everything

      • HarryHype59

        He actually knows jack sh*t.

      • Geordiegiants

Ha ha ha lol. That’s the best person to ask, he is always right, and that’s a fact!

    • KRS1

      F**k all

    • Dillon Tovak

      Wow was my initial reaction!

      • KRS1

Fatty will be licking his lips.

      • KRS1

Unfortunately the casino will see more of the Mitro money than Rafa

        • Dillon Tovak

          😢 terrible isn’t it!

        • HarryHype59

Too true, it will be siphoned off with the Wynaldum and Sissoko money.

          • Jezza

…not forgetting the Carroll and Cabaye money either.

          • Ram Kishore

Jezza i think Caroll money was spent on players for 2011/12 windows, we did buy cabaye, cisse.
But the cabaye money was spent on 2014 window for bargain buys who all ended up playing badly.. Janmaat, De jong , Cabella, The great Riverie..
That summer we also sold RB debuchy to Arsenal.
I’m just stating the facts.. we did spend close to 30 million that summer

          • Jezza

Cabaye was bought for £4 million in the summer of 2011. Most importantly NUFC broke even on their transfer dealings that summer, spending around £12 million and bringing in around £12 million from sales, leaving the Andy Carroll money untouched. Cisse was signed for £9 million in January 2012. What happened to the rest of the £35 million?

          • Ram Kishore

I just went through the transfermkt website
            2010/11 Net profit was €27.77 m
            2011/12 Net spend was €10m
            2012/13 Net spend €17 m

I would say the stats point out to reinvestment of the Caroll money

          • Geordiegiants

            Carroll, Cabeye, anymore??

    • Ba ba.

      Crickey

    • HarryHype59

      Half if Rafa is lucky.

    • foggy

Shirebrook will probably get redecorated. The Ashley mansion down in Totteridge will get a new heated swimming pool, the rest of the 22m will be blown on curries / pints and trips to the casino. Rafa will probably get a bag of crisps.

    • Desree

Fulham wanted to pay 16m. NUFC were holding out for 18m so Fulham offer 22m rising to 27m.

They must have negotiated a ten year payment plan.

      • Jezza

Before Fatso took over our club, who could have possibly imagined that we would end up selling players to clubs like Fulham for more money than we could ever dream about spending on a player.

        • Wezza

Spot on! Unbelievable how much MA has ruined our club!

          • Ben Jones

Oh ffs give it a rest

          • Geordiegiants

It really is, but what are the majority of our spectators doing about it?

          • Ben Jones

Rolling their eyes at the absolute drivel you people write, St James park will be a sellout this season as it was as sell out last season . Deal with it

      • HarryHype59

That money will vanish into one of Fatty’s accounts. I doubt Rafa will see any of it.

  • Dillon Tovak

Bye Mitro, forever a Geordie. He always gave his all, that’s all you can ask.
You’ll always be in the heart and soul of the club.
Different time and the man could have torn it up.
Good luck, just not against us.
    👋🏻👍

    • Ba ba.

Aye I think this could be a mistake

      • Jezza

The mistake will be not re-investing the money.

        • Geordiegiants

I agree, infact I agree with most of the football side of your brain!

    • Geordiegiants

If he had the same skills as he had passion, he would of been one of the best in the world, ever.

  • glassjawsh-got-banned

I wonder if he’ll celebrate after he scores against us?

    • SuperDesHamilton

      No because he won’t score

  • Tino11

Lejeune out for at least 6 months with cruciate ligament injury.

    • KRS1

      Disaster

      • Tino11

Definitely, we need Clark to be at his best all season now.

        • Geordiegiants

Clark like Collo looked a different class in the championship, raise the bar and I don’t think he is quite there, especially full time.

    • Burt Humperdink

Silver lining, cannot sell Lascelles now really. Maybe we can get Diego Reyes to plug the gap on a free?

      • Tino11

I think Ashley would sanction a cheap centre half and then sell Lascelles, unfortunately.

        • Jezza

          Precisely.

      • glassjawsh-got-banned

100% can and will sell Lescelles if there is a large enough offer. the fat fuk only cares about the cash.

    • Paul Patterson

      Are you taking the p!ss.

      • Tino11

Nope afraid not, it’s on newsnow.

        • Ben Jones

Who’s fault is it? We can’t have a setback like this without having someone to blame and take our frustrations out on, any ideas anyone?

          • BenJonesBellEnd

            I blame Ben Jones.

          • EveryoneBlockBenJones

            I blame Ben Jones too.

          • BenC0ckJ0nesTheBellEnd

In full agreement, it’s your fault!

        • Wezza

What’s more is we will still sell Lascelles!

      • Paul Patterson

Ok, just seen it. That’s 6 months minimum.

    • Vodkamagpie

      That ruins my night, disaster

    • Tony English

      Sh ite

  • Geordiegiants

Steve Harmison is a bell end, calls himself a Newcastle fan, then spouts his shyte on talk sport.

    • KRS1

Agreed, he wants to stick to talking about cricket. Not sure if he is after a job from Ashley

      • Geordiegiants

Sounded like it, fuckingwanka isn’t he?

        • KRS1

Big time. The usual sh*t we hear about NUFC from pri*ks in the media. He should know better though.

          • Ben Jones

Has he turned into a Lee brother? Is Steve Harmiston trolling this website? Omg

          • KRS1

            Who asked you, you c#nt

          • Dillon Tovak
          • Ben Jones

Yes, do it and give me free reign on all your future comments, block me

          • Ben Jones

You’re confused surely, I’m asking you, it’s a simple question to answer but, you cant

          • KRS1

You can’t even spell his name so wind your neck in you bell end.

          • Ben Jones

I knew it! Sorry but it’s you guys who are all the same/possibly 2 brothers, you all do the same thing, why can’t you answer the question instead of picking one word from a comment and making a big deal about it . Imagine the same question with the correct spelling and answer that if you can

          • KRS1

            Imagine having girlfriend – there’s a start.

          • Ben Jones

            I’ve a hard job imagining I have a wife!

Anyway about my question, is Steve Harambe one of the Lee brothers and is he trolling this site of really important people?

          • KRS1

You still seem to be struggling with his name! I am not sure where you get the idea that anyone believes Harmison is one of the Lee brothers. He is perfectly capable of being a c**k all on his own.

          • Ben Jones

Quite so if Steve Harmonica can be a cook all on his own then why can’t every individual in here be exactly that? Individuals. Steve Hasslebaink has done us all a favour, now your eyes have been opened to the real fact that real life newcastle supporters have different opinions that you. Bravo Steve Harveyson

          • KRS1

Great, you have realised that I think you and Harmison are both pric*s, and you are 2 different pric*s.

          • Ben Jones

But only one of us is a Lee brother huh? Is it Ben Jones or is it Steve Harmislee?

          • KRS1

I am no lawyer but I don’t know if you can legally marry your right arm?

      • Desree

Is that the same Steve Harmison who bottled it in Australia 2006/07 and who couldn’t be bothered to try for thousands of loyal fans who had traveled to Aus and paid thousands.

He sounds like Ashley’s perfect patsy. Lee Charnleys replacement.

    • TheNutJob

      Shirt £200 it`s a steal

      • Geordiegiants

You couldn’t give it away now! 😂

  • TheNutJob

watched the game with wor kid, conclusion for the season Doomed

    • SuperDesHamilton

      Thanks for sharing that

  • StMichael

I know who will be stayingup this year, Fulham. I know who will have a striker with 20 goals. Fulham. I do not know where Newcastle will find a 20 goal striker from even for 20 million. Next year mitro will be worth 30mill plus if he scores (as he will). He scored 11 in his first premier season when he was a lot more immature. Now he is a man and has matured, Newcastle sell him. Hey ho.

    • Geordiegiants

Ha ha ha ha ha lol. 20 Goals, give our will you.

    • HarryHype59

Fulham, like Wolves will hold their own in the EPL. It makes the pool of “three teams worse than us” smaller.

    • SuperDesHamilton

What striker have Fulham signed that gets 20 goals?

  • Leicester Mag

Lejeune out for months. Oh well, if captain steak bake sells Lascelles now we are nailed on

  • Soldier

i don`t think Rafa will have slept well after last night`s game, two weeks away from the start of the season and with Florian Lejeune injured we are now worse off than last August.

    • Geordiegiants

We certainly aren’t any better that’s for sure.

  • Peter Ellis

I’ve never understood the hype about him. I’d prefer a forward who stays on the pitch and scores goals, pathetic outbursts of “passion” does not make a good forward
