Aleksandar Mitrovic picked up a knock in training this week as Serbia trained for their opening match in the World Cup.
The Newcastle striker though has shaken off the minor injury and trained ahead of facing Costa Rica at 1pm (UK time) on Sunday.
Aleksandar Mitrovic will be looking to continue his excellent form in the World Cup Group E opener at the Samara Arena.
The Newcastle striker scored 12 goals in 20 games when playing during his loan spell with Fulham, helping the Cottagers secure promotion to the Premier League.
As well as that, Mitro has also netted 14 goals in his last 18 games for Serbia, which includes the hat-trick he got in the final warm up game, a 5-1 win over Bolivia in their final warm-up match.
Serbia failed to make it out of the group stages at the last two World Cup they competed in but hopes are high that this talented group can do better.
A dismal Euro 2016 qualifying campaign saw morale at rock bottom and the Serbian football public in uproar.
However, the Newcastle striker’s six goals in the group matches saw them cruise to Russia top of their group.
Brazil the favourites to win the group and they face Switzerland at 7pm on Sunday.
Good luck to Mitro as he competes in his first ever World Cup finals, also representing black and white hopes.
