All of the 2018 Summer Premier League transfers made so far

There have now been twenty two confirmed incoming Premier League transfers (detailed below).

This is now the 33rd day of the Premier League summer transfer window after it opened on 17 May 2018.

We will see how the World Cup will complicate things, interesting that there has been no incoming transfers to the Premier League since last Wednesday, the day before the football kicked off in Russia. Early days yet though.

This window closes in England at 5pm on Thursday 9 August, so 52 days of fun and games still to go.

Over in France, Germany, Italy and Spain, their windows opened on 1 June and run until 31 August.

So once the Premier League window closes, clubs in other countries can still potentially buy players from English clubs for another 22 days, though English clubs will no longer be able to buy.

With 22 PL deals so far, Newcastle are pretty much the average with one so far, but nobody is under any illusions as to just how much quality is needed to progress this NUFC team/squad.

Also, the established top six clubs don’t tend to make a lot of signings, more a case of spending a lot of money on a smaller number of players.

Whereas for clubs such as Newcastle still recovering after bouncing back from the Championship, numbers are needed, as well as raising the quality. It is now only a fortnight until NUFC return for pre-season on Monday 2 July.
