Winner of worst Newcastle United transfer exclusive named before window even opens

The latest Newcastle United transfer exclusive has popped up on Tuesday lunchtime.

It is bad enough during the football season but now the matches have finished, we know for sure that the media will be ramping things up when it comes to transfer stories.

Newcastle fans tend to take them all with a high sense of scepticism.

However, the ‘exclusive’ today will take some beating…

Teamtalk – Tuesday 15 May 2018:

‘EXCLUSIVE: Newcastle move to sign Chelsea duo on loan

Newcastle have asked Chelsea to take Kenedy back on loan next season –  and they also want to bring a Stamford Bridge teammate with him, sources have told TEAMtalk.

Brazilian star Kenedy has been a huge success at St James’ Park this season, with his form leading to interest from the likes of Liverpool, as well as Bayern Munich and Arsenal.

However, Newcastle have already stated their intentions to try and persuade him to stay on in the North-East and believe Chelsea will grant them their wish, rather than the Blues making a transfer mistake and allowing the former Fluminense star to move on before getting the chance to prove himself in west London.

Meanwhile, Magpies boss Rafa Benitez is also keen on a summer deal for his Chelsea teammate Tammy Abraham.

Newcastle are set to jettison Aleksandar Mitrovic and Spanish flop Joselu, meaning they want two new strikers, with Benitez targeting a deal for Abraham.’

This is surely already going to be crowned as worst Newcastle United transfer exclusive of the whole summer.

Not that it is impossible to believe that Kenedy or Tammy Abraham could come on loan to Newcastle United next season.

More the fact that the exclusive is quite ludicrous in claiming ‘sources’ have told them that Newcastle could bring BOTH Chelsea players to St James Park.

This is what the official Premier League rules say…

Under the rules in the Premier League Handbook 2017/18, there are restrictions on how many players Premier League clubs can loan from other Premier League/English clubs.

They are:

– Premier League clubs may not register more than two players on loan at any one time.

– The maximum number of loans registrable in the same season is four, and, under no circumstances, shall more than one be from the same club at any one time.

So rest assured Newcastle will not be loaning both Kenedy and Tammy Abraham this summer.

Though we do live in hope that Kenedy is signed up again, hopefully on a permanent deal but I’d settle for another loan.
