There have now been eight confirmed incoming Premier League transfers.

It is exactly a fortnight now since the Premier League window opened, with maybe fans expecting more action by now.

Especially taking into account the World Cup complicating things when kicking off in two weeks time.

Liverpool have been the big spenders so far, with Keita and Fabinho added to their squad.

Meanwhile, Newcastle fans were relieved to see the excellent Martin Dubravka confirmed on a permanent deal on Wednesday.

This window closes in England at 5pm on Thursday 9 August, so 10 weeks of transfer fun and games still to come.

Over in France, Germany, Italy and Spain, their windows open tomorrow (1 June) and run until 31 August.

So once the Premier League window closes, clubs in other countries can still potentially buy players from English clubs for another 22 days, though English clubs will no longer be able to buy.

That amounts to another 10 weeks of torture,
in the mean time the Obese One will be off on his hol`s and as usual the phone`s off the hook.
Meanwhile back at the ranch on Barrack Rd shyte for Brains Penfold will come under increasing pressure from the manager to get players in from the list he supplied.

I’m sure the Chronicle will in about three weeks time run a story on how Charnley is going to sit down with his ‘transfer committee’ (Justin Barnes) as soon as blobby is back from Barbados, no one will know when he is back – and before the apologists shout about Dubravka, it’s took a month to sign someone when the deal was done in January
