The results of the Newcastle v Watford player ratings by fans.

Always interesting to see what supporters have collectively made of the latest performance, when using our interactive ratings system.

Each player marked out of 10 and the averages below.

Not much you can say about this performance, well not when it comes to positives anyway.

The man of the match by some distance was Martin Dubravka (7.8).

He should have done better on the cross for the second goal but apart from that he single-handedly kept the score down in that dismal first half.

It was actually Matt Ritchie (6.1) who was next best best and he only came off the bench in the 53rd minute.

Other than that, only three others got ratings of 5.0 or higher and that included another sub, DeAndre Yedlin (5.7). The other two being goalscorer Ayoze Perez (5.8) and Jonjo Shelvey (5.7), the pair of them featuring in most of Newcastle’s brighter moments, such as they were.

As for the real negatives…four players scored under 4.0.

Jacob Murphy (2.8) was nowhere near what Newcastle needed as he fluffed his opportunity.

Elsewhere, Paul Dummett (3.6) made it consecutive shockers, the left-back as poor as he was against West Brom.

Dwight Gayle (3.5) yet again never came close to scoring, whilst Javier Manquillo (3.2) put in a great cross for the Perez goal but was terrible other than that. Neither he nor Murphy did much for the reputation of those players who haven’t been getting a game.

Mikel Merino (4.9) can be allowed a poor mark as he was only for a few minutes but another four players didn’t even reach a mark of 5.0.

Kenedy (4.5) is maybe feeling the effects of finally getting a decent run of games, whilst for whatever reason, Mohamed Diame (4.4) dropped well below what we have come to expect in 2018.

Centre-backs Lascelles and Lejeune (both 4.3) had their worst game so far as a partnership, Newcastle’s defence looking at times like they’d never met before Saturday.
