The Hong Kong Soccer Sevens returns this weekend.

Newcastle United didn’t compete last year but they have entered a team this time around.

Newcastle will play three group games on the Saturday which will then decide their participation in the rest of the tournament.

All group games are played seven minutes each way and the 10 NUFC Under 21 players who have travelled are:

Bailey, Barlaser, Bartlett, Cass, Charman, Fernandez, Harker, Longstaff, Roberts and Watts.

Newcastle United won the trophy in 2012 and are in a group with Glasgow Rangers, Hong Kong FC and Newcastle Jets.

NUFC are in Group C and all matches will be played at the Hong Kong Football Club in Happy Valley.

The kick-off times are as follows, these are local times and Hong Kong is seven hours ahead of the UK, meaning for example the first game kicks of at 3.25am UK time:

Saturday 19 May

10.25 Newcastle United v Hong Kong FC

12.07 Newcastle United v Glasgow Rangers

13.32 Newcastle United v Newcastle Jets

You can watch all the games thanks to a live stream which can be accessed via the official HK Soccer Sevens website here.

Other English clubs taking part as well as Newcastle, are West Ham, Aston Villa, Brighton and reigning champions Leicester City.

Sunday sees the tournament conclude with quarter finals, semis and finals.

There is also a Masters event, with Wallsend Boys Club taking part – Steve Howey, Michael Bridges and Keith Gillespie are amongst those turning out in the veterans event.

They have group games on both Friday and Saturday, remember once again that these are Hong Kong times which are seven hours ahead of the UK:

Friday 18 May

19.30 Wallsend Boys Club v KCC Veterans

Saturday 19 May
