Chelsea fans came, they saw, then most of them had left by just after an hour!

Newcastle took the visitors apart and indeed the blues were lucky to only lose by three goals.

Difficult to believe that Conte’s players were still competing for a Champions League place and hoping to get a game in next Saturday’s FA Cup final.

The Chelsea fans were not impressed!

Recent times have seen Newcastle unbeaten at home against Chelsea since 2011 and that record was extended on Sunday.

It is a massive bonus that on top of their whingeing and anger below in the comments, many of them now also see Newcastle as having a bit of a hoodoo over them whenever they come to St James Park.

Since 2011…

Newcastle 3 Chelsea 2 – 2 February 2013

Newcastle 2 Chelsea 0 – 2 November 2013

Newcastle 2 Chelsea 1 – 6 December 2014

Newcastle 2 Chelsea 2 – 26 September 2013

Newcastle 3 Chelsea 9 – 13 May 2018

Last night was class out in Newcastle after the match, only finishing tenth maybe but at last we have a club where fans, players, manager are all trying and pushing in the same direction, everybody in fact apart from Mike Ashley.

These comments from Chelsea fans are just a great bonus.

Comments taken from various Chelsea message boards (Talk Chelsea, Shed End, CFC Net):

‘And there we have it, Rafa takes us to the Europa League once again.’

‘Thursday night football here we come….’

‘Imagine losing 3-0 in a match we had to win to be in contention. What kind of a joke have we become…’

‘If liverpool win the champions league do we get the fourth spot?’

After watching that load of sh…, why would you want that ???’

‘This wasn’t about 4th place because that was a complete long shot, this was about putting in a performance.

This was not a performance, it was a showing of absolute gutless, lack of balls we have seen all season again.’

‘Just woke up. Thank god I didn’t even watch this.’

‘We were never going to win at this place, were we? Especially with this pathetic performance.

I am actually happy Spurs are not losing, I would hate the fact they lost today and we f…ed it up again.’

‘Too much gap between our midfield and defensive line…Should be more higher line…Even newcastle is playing a higher line than us.’

‘Predicted this, were not only sh… but we can’t play football at this ground.’

‘3-0 now. F… this. Switching off.’

‘We needed six points from Huddersfield at home and Newcastle away. We got 1 and 1 goal scored. That’s Conte in a nutshell – needs to go now. Such a dated view on football it’s unreal.’

‘Newcastle are on the beach and still cruising.  this is the worst I’ve seen a team play in many many years.’

‘Can’t be as bad as watching Rafa can it?’

‘Never understood the pathetic Rafa hate  – decent for chelsea.’

‘What a mess.’

‘We were fake champions (last season under Conte), other teams had a season off while adjusting to new managers and players while dealing with Europe. Under normal season conditions we’ve been abysmal and nothing near champion material.’

‘Just now checked into hotel for the night. Not sure what I saw today but my brain hurts.’

‘Seeing the reactions of the Swansea players as they’re relegated makes you remember how much worse things can be (and have been in many of our lifetimes).

That was an embarrassing performance though.’

‘We’ve turned into Huddersfield,so impressed were we in midweek.’

‘I don’t want us to play in the FA Cup final.’

‘No passion, get the foreigners out. More british, minus cahill and barkley….very very poor.’

‘It’s even worse if you imagine the manager has told them they’re playing for a place in the FA Cup final. Totally embarrassing.’

‘How many do Newcastle want? Because that’s how many they’ll get.’

‘Fairly sure Bakayoko has just performed the worst season i have ever seen from a Chelsea-regular.

Lee Cattermole would have been more useful to us this season than he’s been, not even kidding.’

‘Conte has to go, season tickets will fall otherwise.’

‘Conte has officially taken over as the most sh.. ever manager of the club from AVB / scolari.’

‘Can blame Conte for the shambles of a season but the players are sh.. today.

I wouldn’t let any of them on the pitch at Wembley.

I’d tell all the players to f… off to the World Cup and play the youth team in the final. ‘

‘How can we perform like that in front of our supporters who came all that way to watch the team. Shocking!’

I just wonder why Graham Porter seeks to belittle other clubs fans when we have enough knackers of our own to fill the pages, …….and why does Ryder seek to big up our fans at every opportunity when they are no different, is it just to keep himself on-side and ‘one of the lads?’……

….Its not rivalry at all…. rivalry is the bragging rights of your team over your opponent based upon how well your club tackles winning things, (we aren’t in the same category so leave it out son) not a few bloggers moaning because they’ve had a six hundred mile round trip and not realised that next weeks cup final would render their efforts to ‘get behind the lads 110%’ absolutely useless.

Do you understand anything about football Graham, where are you from and who do you support…. it isn’t us is it?

    • Wor Lass

Are you concentrating on positives or negatives today?

      • Leazes.

Truth is quite good, I’m a big fan.

Sentiment should never get in the way of a proper perspective . A healthy cynicism is not to be derided, especially with this club.

Well spotted but that`s what you get for reading these articles so carefully – the rest of us were blissfully ignorant thinking that we`d actually won!

Worst Chelsea fans I have seen for years in terms of atmosphere. Respect to owner of a england flag in there end which had on it ‘Lee Rigby Loyal’

  • Albert Stubbins

I missed all of their Nine Goals- here’s me thinking we won 3-0!!

    • MadMag83

The possession stats on this site are a hoot too……😂😂

  • Cockneytrev

Awesome performance by Newcastle and fans all season,,
Big thank you to Rafa, he has molded a team with work rate, discipline, shape and team spirit out of basically a very very weak squad ( look at our bench).
Special mention to Diame, what a transformation, he’s been incredible since January and if he can keep if this level of performance is definitely our vice captain,,
Lascelles, a true captain and leader on and off the pitch, when he hasn’t played for us , look at our results (should be at the World Cup),,
Shelvey, when he plays well, we play well ( should also be going to the World Cup).
Finally the fans both home and especially away,,, INCREDIBLE!!!!
What ever Rafa decides (or is decided for him) I wish him good luck and I respect his decision, a true gentleman.

    • Leazes.

Ah the antithesis of what I’ve just wrote…. are you Graham? why can’t he speak for himself… why so shy? INCREDIBLE!!!!

      • Cockneytrev

        Read my posts ,,,
        Do I sound like graham?

        • Leazes.

  • MadMag83

Get the foreigners out and get more British lads in but get rid of the two you’ve got?😂

    • Dillon Tovak

Yeah that made me laugh too.

    • Steve Smith

Spot the guy with the Chelsea neck tattoo.

  • Billmag

What a bunch of serial moaners, they should learn something from our away supporters never won anything for God knows how long, tanked umpteen times and yet still go away and support the lads in their numbers.

  • Rich Lawson

Oh ! dear me,and yet you still have the chance to win the F.A. Cup ? I think you should have a hard look at your well payed squad who risked nothing today for an outgoing manager who won the league with them last year. I am mindful of Roy Keane who put himself on the line to get Man’ U’ into the champ’s final and got himself suspended as as result and missed the game. You need proper players who actually care about the club they play for rather than their own cv.

  • TheFatController

In fairness to their fans at the game, they mirrored their team’s season fantastically well.

Started out before a ball was kicked with the pride and swagger of champions, came unstuck before the middle and by the end just wanted it over…

  • X,WHY,Y MAN.

You couldn’t argue with any of their comments and at least they were magnanimous in defeat unlike some deluded fans of clubs we have played against.
You know the type, Complete knackers who were kicking around the third tier until recently and piping up with rubbish like : “How Did We Lose To A Club Like Newcastle” etc etc etc

    • MadMag83

You mean like last season when every away game was supposedly “like the Alamo…”

  • Waxi

I sit in the east stand next to the Gallowgate corner and i only heard them sing twice. The last time i was at Stamford Bridge we lost 2-0 and they never sung then either all they do is complain and look what they have won. Shocking bunch of fans they are the worst in the EPL by far.

  • Scott Robinson

To be fair there’s an interview on youtube where a Chelsea fan, who travels all over, says it was the loudest home support he had ever heard. He also thinks Newcastle as a City is great. So credit where it is due

  • Stephen Paylor

I had a feeling Chelsea would struggle this year when they sold Matic and Costa. They had a very poor summer last year and paid the price.
