If Newcastle win just 1 of their last 5 games, which would you like it to be? Vote now
Newcastle United have five games left of this eventful season.
Happily, the pressure is now totally off with safety guaranteed.
Winning the last four games has catapulted NUFC into the top half of the table, with even aspirations now to possibly end the season as high as eighth.
However, if Newcastle United were to win just on of their last five games, which would you like it to be?
Here is a mini write-up on each fixture and possible reasons why you might be swayed to select that particular game…
A few factors here.
The biggest one would be Sam Allardyce for most Newcastle fans…in fact, I get the impression a fair few Everton fans would take defeat if it helped get rid of him.
Speaking of which, there has been ongoing friction between the two sets of supporters and no love lost, so another reason to win. Plus of course victory would mean Newcastle being at least ninth in the table on Monday night.
West Brom (Home)
A home game so obviously fifty thousand Newcastle fans in attendance hoping to see a good game and victory.
Apart from that, not that much to say. If Pardew and Carver were still there then there would be plenty talking.
Yet another sold out away end so always nice to see the three thousand or so rewarded.
However, Watford have to be one of the most meaningless clubs in the Premier League, where it is difficult to have a strong opinion on them.
So unless you maybe live in Watford and have personal reasons for being desperate to win, difficult to make a case.
Always nice to go to London and win, with Spurs being high on the hit list.
A win at Wembley of course would be very nice icing on the cake to top off this season.
A lot of history home and away against Spurs, always a game that you look forward to.
A strong contender.
A bit like Spurs, games against Chelsea are always amongst those high on the list of ones you want to win.
Many things to dislike about them down the years, though maybe not so many now.
Last game of the season and at home, two big factors.
